Rabo PRO12 (Round 7): Leinster 59 v 22 Cardiff Blues @ 18:30 Saturday 27 October (RDS, Dublin)
First topic message reminder :
The match is due to be televised on RTE.
Things are getting positive on the injury front, some good depth getting back fit.
Leinster squad update
There are no major injury concerns arising from Saturday’s games in Wales, where the senior team recorded their second Pool victory in the Heineken Cup over the Scarlets, while the province’s ‘A’ team were narrowly edged by Pontypridd in Sardis Road.
Gordon D’Arcy successfully came through 80 minutes after his recent rib injury, while Richardt Strauss received stitches to a cut on his chin.
It is hoped that Rob Kearney (back) will be available this weekend while Quinn Roux (ankle) will also continue to be assessed by the medical team.
Rhys Ruddock successfully came through his first run out of the season in Pontypridd and he is set to be joined in the mix for selection this week by Dave Kearney for the visit of Cardiff.
Second row Tom Denton was a late withdrawal from the ‘A’ game with minor calf tightening but that will not affect his availability this week when the team is named at Friday lunchtime.
Ticket sales for Saturday’s game have passed the 15,000 mark
The match is due to be televised on RTE.

Pretorious is really become a liability at 8, knocking on 5m out from your tryline when your THP is in the bin.
Play Warburton at 8, Navidi at 7 (he is the inform 7!) and Paterson at 6 when he returns.

The ref should just allow all the Blues indiscretions, would better for Leinster to have a bit of a challenge.

Navidi got flattened by D'Arcy....that shouldn't happen, should it? A 6 flattened by a 12?

What a superb drive by Leinster. Heaslip's second.
33 - 3 after 31 minutes. I say Leinster will get passed the 50 mark at this rate.

I don't understand the coaching appointments from the Welsh sides. From an Irish point of view Munster, Ulster and Leinster went out and got very well regarded coaches and all have done very good jobs so far. In contrast the Welsh coaching appointments seem clueless. I think it shows what a bloody good job the Welsh setup do with the national side.
Yep, the regions seem to hire anyone who used to play for them as a head coach or anyone who is Welsh and has a pair of boots.
Compare that to the WRU who searched for a long time and devoted a large amount of money to finding the best coaching team for Wales.
Now compare regional results to Wales' results.

The Blues just don't defend. They remind me of the scarlets under phil davies in his second season there when they would lose by cricket scores.

To be fair, the Blues 14 could probably flatten any of the rest of the Blues team, he might well do so if he keeps having to play with such cr*p

Surely it can't always be blamed on the coach. At some stage players have to take an amount of responsibility.

Not enough positive resulting defence, Leinster rarely not getting over the advantage line.

Try no 6 before halftime
40 - 3
Well this is quickly becoming the worst Blues performance ever, and that is really saying something after the last 2 year.

That's something that would have to be done across the whole league though. You couldn't have a rule for one team/region and not the other.
Healy's over...
40 - 3 and we've five minutes to go before HT yet. The Blues might as well go home...they're not exactly challenging this evening. Coach's post-match interview will be interesting.

Oh dear, dear, dear.
Healy burst through from close to touch down the sixth.
At least this will put Leinster's points difference healthily back in the black.
Can Leinster keep this up? Or does Schmidt do wholesale subbing?
Not great prep for the AIs.

The REAL Leinster are standing up now. Go Jonny. That's my boy.
Quickest TBP of the season by 13 minutes. Told ye. Naysayers. This is the time of year we come alive. The whole 23 will be used here.
Everything's Coming Up Roses
I can see 60/70 pts coming up here. So sad for Blues. Half the Welsh team out there and its like men v boys. Their Coach must perform major surgery or leave.
Another try. This is cruel. This is brutal. This is ruthless. This is phooking great!
Watch out ASM. We are coming for ye. Oh yes.

I feel the same way now as I did watching Ireland's drubbing by the All Black's last summer. Just very sad to watch. You know the players there are capable of so much more, but they're just getting nowhere. Their confidence must be rock bottom by now.

The supporters should get half their money back and the Blues should pay for it, Lienster are not doing anything special they are just coasting through the Blues defence. !00 points is there for the taking if Lienster step it up.

Don't worry Gibson when it come to the National side the players seem to care, also have a fear of the coaches at international level, right now at club level the Blues look like they don't respect Phil Davies at all.

Hook - I wonder if the Blues have the same problem in reverse to Ireland's internationals i.e. individuals giving more to the Welsh team than their regional side? Maybe the Blues are having some sort of political crisis behind the scenes that we don't know about.
