V2 WWC 2012 Round 1 Group 10
Not the strongest group yesterday, full of competitors who have all had a very quiet 2012, in the end Kurt Angle went through as runner up with 13 votes and Kofi Kingston advances as group winner with 14 votes
Next up is group 10

For me this is between Styles, Santino and Ryback.
Styles has had a solid year of feuding with Daniels but hasn't really done anything phenonimal (see what I did there?)
Ryback has been shot to the moon and has been great for the past two months but this is over 12 not 2.
Santino was on fire for the first 5 months of this 12 month period then went off the boil.
But for making us all believe for a short while that he might just win the WHC in the chamber it has to be Santino

I'm actually surprised that I find myself liking Ryback, I promised myselt that wouldn't happen but I just like the raw aggression he has, he's also very well put together, an absolute beast of a man.
I'd much prefer he went over Big Show for the World Heavyweight Title than continued his feud with Punk, I can't see him winning the title and with that in mind I can't see how a prolonged feud with him and Punk can do either of them any good, Ryback will ultimately fail to win the Gold and Punk will no doubt look weak in retaining, I feel Punk needs to look a million bucks if he's to go into his match with Rock at the Rumble.
Last year I went for AJ in almost every round, I can't pick him this time, his matches are always watchable but his feud with Daniels felt like it was never ending, after last years BFG I stopped watching for about 7 months, turned it back on and Daniels and AJ where still feuding, I missed 7 months and within one promo I was up to speed, it was all just to samey for AJ, if anyone in Wrestling is in a comfort zone it's him, if he's got any hope of being the star he should be he needs to get to WWE as quick as possible.
I can't pick Santino, he just has zero credibility, he's got a job for life doing what he does but he could have been so much more if the WWE altered him slightly a couple of years ago
I liked the look of Crimson in the BFG 2011 series and thought it was logical they took him out of it 'injured' as they wanted to protect his win/loss record, the problem is guys have to lose sometimes, it's how you deal with that and then recover, TNA couldn't do that, he lost his aura pretty quickly, maybe that's down to the man himself more than the writing, who knows, but for me he's not even close

Ryback has had an astonishing last couple of months and deserves to go through, but Michael Elgin deserves to pip second spot.
I'm calling on all the indy fans we have hear to back Michael Elgin! He's had an amazing year and I'd suggest you check out some of his matches online before you cast your votes.
Last 12 Months highlights:
SOTF 2011 Winner
BOLA 2012 Runner-up
5 Star matches against Davey Richards & Kevin Steen
Multiple headlining shows in ROH/PWG even pulling double duty on recent shows
Mulitple world title matches

I have liked Ryback since day 1. Has had a good 2012 and his impressive unbeaten run lead to the biggest match of his carrer last night at Hell in the cell which he was very impressive in.

Totally agree on all of this - think that Show would be the "big" scalp that he needs and a solid win (I could see him winning the Rumble and defeating Show at WM actually) and good title run would be great for him. I am not sure where this would leave Ziggler mind you.
Off topic but in terms of the whole Punk thing it is odd, he only has one more title defence before the Rock at RR... it will be a TLC match and I presume will include Ryback in some capacity. Is it 1 on 1 and Punk is seen as able to win because it is a ladder match meaning no pin? Will it be a triple threat with Cena or a much larger match? I would tend for the latter, make it Punk, Miz, Ryback, Cena, Kane, Daniel Bryan (so stacked with faces) and have Punk win strongly. He can then go into the RR with the longest reign since Hogan and ... job to Dwayne
