I needed that 3 points too for the fantasy football! Now I need the Texans D to score only 1 point or less instead of 4 points or less.Olly wrote:AKERS MISSED IT!

I was a little surprised the 49ers didn't go for a 40 yard FG just before half time and instead went for a short punt.

Sanchez's reworked contract gives them an out after this season. All the guaranteed money is gone.

good result for niners when you take everything into account. That tie allows the niners to screw up another few times and still hold a lead over Seattle. Split the Bears and Saints games and then at most drop one or two and division is ours

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
Rams are quietly 2-0-1 in the NFC West. Impressive yesterday on the road, esp with 2 of their better players being sat down. Must admit I was sceptical when they opened their chequebook to Fisher, thought he was marginally above average as a coach, but hes got them playing.
They have ammunition going forward, hit on enough picks and they could be a real contender going forward.

Impressed with Fisher's guts going with a pass play on a fake from the endzone! Imagine if that had gone wrong? I had to smile at Harbaugh's face. He constantly looks like someone has wronged him.

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
The Rams have a really decent base of a team. I was thoroughly impressed by Bradford yesterday, finally seems to be finding his feet in this league. And Amendola is Wes Welker v2, and a pretty good one at that

BREAKING NEWS: Donovan McNabb reportedly still sat in Candlestick Park waiting for the 2nd overtime period to start.
Re: Week 10 discussion thread
Can't say I'm sold on Bradford. Been dealt a bad hand, but hasn't really ever shown anything of the talent that saw him go #1. Far too conservative.

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
I think he is maybe a victim of the lack of talent GSC. He doesn't really have anyone apart from Amendola and the Rams do like to run the ball

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
While true, it doesn't excuse Bradford entirely. He has problems feeling pressure, and is skittish in the pocket. There are times when he has a chance to just let it rip down the field and it dials it down also.
The Rams have to find a playmaker on the outside, then evaluate Bradford after next season. Lets not forget, he is making 78m from his rookie deal.

Lets not forget he is only into his second year and has had some injury issues so he is going to be nervous under centre until the Rams really sure up there OL.
I think he can become a Top 10 potentially a Top 5 QB in 5 years time

That's my bad, I still think Bradford will be good down the line though.
Speaking of Carolina when is Rivera gonna be sacked? Worst record in the NFC at the moment, and running an option offense in the NFL I believe

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
Bradford looks good and he has the physical tools. Against the Pats on the first drive he ripped a beauty for a TD and then reverted to short passes. He comes off a bit cautious.
When is Kalil going to take out a full-page spread saying Carolina probably won't make the SuperBowl?

I cant stand Harbaugh's face, it really annoys me. Yelling at the refs all the time, I can't believe he doesn't get more penalties called against him. Still, the back slap on Schwartz excuses him entirely!

Rivera is a dead man walking, but theres nobody worth giving an audition to as next HC I imagine.
He, Reid and Norv Turner the cast iron certs to be fired at this point I think.

Am I the only one that cant stand Drew Brees?
Comes across kinda fake to me, when the Saints needed him most this offseason he was holding the Saints to ransom after being offered the biggest contract in the NFL.

Re: Week 10 discussion thread
I don't see the argument really because we would all hold out for the most money we could get in that situation. No matter what the circumstances, at the end of the day its his career and he knows how important he is to the franchise, so he wants to make as much as he can. I would do the same as him tbh

On the surface, it does always look like he is moaning. But you can see from the sound fx videos that even when you think he is having a go, he may actually be saying something positive. Just an intense guy that wears his heart on his sleave, like sometimes he looks raging at his own player but is actually praising him, a bit like when players push each other away after scoring td's etc

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
#Steelers are bracing for a "serious" injury to QB Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder, I'm told. The fear is that it's worse than a separation.
Bad times Pittsburgh. Byron Leftwich FTW!
