Bradshaw won't play either. Andre Brown will start ahead of David Wilson. Hakeem is only listed as questionable so far. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2012/09/giants_rule_out_ahmad_bradshaw.html

Damn. One of Barden, Randle and Jernigan should be able to get open if Carolina double Cruz.

Quite a good article, but slightly worrying if you're a redskins fan

I had a feeling that might be the case. Anytime you're having the same injury operated on within a year, it isn't a good sign. Terell Thomas of the Giants has had 3 ACL surgeries in 3 years now, and I'd be surprised if he makes a significant comeback.

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
Yeh, seems to be pretty ominous GSC. Shame, because he's such a dominant defender when he's fully fit and I genuinely really like the guy. At least they've got Kerrigan to try and hold up the defence.

Teams can deal with Kerrigan easily. He's undersized with short arms. I south he'll have five sacks at the end of this season.

Undersized? Isn't he the same height a little lighter than Orakpo?

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
He started hot last year but then cooled off massively. He doesn't possess the strength of orakpo so he'll be dealt with easily.

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
I'm disappointed that I didn't pick up Andre Brown in the keepers leagues as well as the West. I went for Battle in the keepers league instead. Did manage to get Bennett for the that league though.
Good start for the Giants tonight. They seem to have gotten over their first week hangover.

I just checked and I can't honestly believe that this week, in both the keeper league and the East league, I'm up against the guys who picked up Andre Brown off waivers! How unlucky is that?? I'm currently 34-0 behind in the East league matchup and 32-2 down in the keeper league. Not the greatest start to my fantasy footie weekend

In the East League I'm the one getting beaten by Andre Brown! You're down 34-0 to the Giants defence and kicker!!

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
I picked Brown or Bennett up is most of my leagues but only both in one. I one league I picked up Brown and left his on the bench.
The Giants dominated the game last night even without Nicks and Bradshaw. And to think some pundits had written them off this week against the Panthers.

Can't wait for 49ers/Vikes Sunday. Turns out that PJ Champs has a special satelite system that allows them to televise games not on u.k tv, so no redzone or crap online stream, great

Am I???? I need to start paying more attention! To be honest, I just saw the score and then convinced myself that All of the Lights had got Andre Brown off waivers.
In a horrible way, this makes it even worse though.... how is it possible to be 34 points down to a Kicker and a Defense???? That means the chances of me making this deficit up are even more slim cos there's no way I'll get close to that out of my Kicker and Defense. This still merits a crying smiley! ...... In fact, it merits more than one crying smiley

Some honest evaluation needs doing in Carolina I think. A record of 9-24 in the last 3 seasons says it all really.

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
Panthers were pretty bad last night and my fantasy team in the East league suffered. They put a man over the top of Cruz which hurt his numbers along with the fact that Barden was wide open over the middle/flats on every play.GSC wrote:Some honest evaluation needs doing in Carolina I think. Everyone is going to rip the Panthers defense, rightly so, but IMO the offense were pretty bad as well and I though Newton was poor. Mayock was praising him for making good decisions with the ball (checking down and throwing it away when the pass wasn't on), which is fair enough but Newton seemed oblivious to guys who were open all night.
Zone read wasn’t working either and the Giants were blowing it up all night. Carolina needed to go to plan B.

I read somewhere that the Panthers were 1-11 when Cam Newton had had the ball turned over but 6-0 when he hadn't.

Honestly, if they don't post a winning record this year, Hurney should be fired.
Handing out 80m to 2 good but not great RBs? 76m to Charles Johnson? Resigned Thomas Davis and gave him a 7m signing bonus after 2 straight ACL injuries?

The Giants schemed well for Newton and forced the Panthers out of their game plan early by exploiting their weak D. Worries me when they face the Skins...

That was a horrible throw by Dalton for the interception. The guy was practically standing in the endzone before he threw it

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
Only problem is he couldn't hold it else it would be a safety and he couldn't throw it away else it would have been intentional grounding as he was still in the pocket.
Still horrendous as a play

Re: Week 3 discussion thread
The exact same play was run by Campbell for a td last season if I remember right, might have been on a kick return though. Locker looking good too
49ers better get their finger out, can't let supposedly gimme games like this spoil your winning run. Really happy to see Ponder playing so well. The defense has looked pretty slow compared to usual and the long drives they are giving up means the offense has barely been on the field, and Smith looks good today so far in his limited time on the field. I want to see way more pressure on Ponder, what's with the soft zone coverage, Stafford and Rodgers are two much better qb's and we showed them less respect than we are ponder.
As long as the titans and 49ers win today, I'm happy, would root for Minnesota against any other NFL team but need to see them lose today
