Sadly we play a real D this week, so the fun stops. Was fun screwing the Bucs out of realistic wildcard contention though.

Must admit am a little worried about Pats against San Fran. We like to abuse the LB's but Willis and Bowman ain't getting abused and the Smith's could get to Brady.
Think the game will hinge on how Kaepernick takes care of the ball

Re: Week 15 discussion thread
The Pats lack of a deep threat (and that Brady isn't that fantastic at it) play into the 49ers hands. Keeping the game within that front 7 is a bad idea.

Anyway, yeah the Eagles are still terrible but some young players are getting quality playtime.

RG3 will not play for the Redskins against the Browns. Gotta wonder if hes going to get the Vick treatment from opposing teams.

Re: Week 15 discussion thread
Another good day fro Richardson with 2 TDs sets a franchise record for rushing TDs for a Rookie. Cousins has been fairly good, bounced back well from the pick, making a few nice plays especially the TD throw into triple coverage.

Nice big throw to Benjamin for the TD, shame Weeden has been poor most of the game, managed to put that ball perfectly in Benjamin's hands yet earlier massively underthrew Little earlier for the second INT.

Good win for the Redskins, bad loss the Giants. The Ravens still now safe at the top of the AFC North.

Overcoming all those first half turnovers was always going to be difficult. Don't think they'll do it, but great watching the spirit as they try.

So assuming Gore holds on and Akers makes a chip shot, Pats will be 10 down with 2 mins and 0 timeouts

SF gut one out, and overall you'd have to say they were the better team. Pats had a stunning rally but just ran out of steam.

I was in a similar situation. This was the only Monday of the season where I had to get up early. I saw the game up until midway through the second quarter.Olly wrote:As if I fell asleep just before half time and missed all that

They were certainly the luckier team. Every NE fumble seemed to land in the hands of a 49er, and when SF fumbled they had a player on hand to recover. SF played the conditions better, which is odd as the game was in Foxburgh.
Not too unhappy with the loss. Good ego check for NE before the post-season, and you always learn more from a loss than a win.

No such thing as luck in sports. You could argue the Pats were lucky to even be in contention after that bs PI call on Brown covering Branch. 49ers D is the best in the NFL, forcing fumbles is what they do, just another day at the office. The Pats are a finesse team who don't like to play physical, I'd fancy most teams in the league to recover fumbles against the Patriots because they seem to just give up on plays at times
