Jonathon davies unprofessional pundit Empty Jonathon davies unprofessional pundit

His backing of his brother in law phil davies (the under fire blues coach) is becoming quite embarrassing and is affecting his punditry.

He assigns blame for the blues abject performances under phil davies squarely on the players, the same players who perform admirably under welsh management.

His lions xv on the bbc website includes no blues players even though most neutrals would accept that at least one of cuthbert, jamie roberts, halfpenny and warburton are pretty strong contenders for a starting spot.

He also started spouting the theory on 5 live rugby last night that the one region putting the blues to shame, the ospreys under steve tandy, are overachieving given that in his own words the players at each of the regions are not up to standard and that the wru needs to fund the purchase of quality foreign players.

I lost all respect for him when he wittered on and on about Quins not showing respect for the Ospreys for fielding a team with 14 changes from the one that had started their previous premiership game... Conveniently and totally ignoring the fact that that game had been on the previous Wednesday, and that the remarkable thing was that one player was playing both matches. I could understand a broadcaster being ignorant of the difficulties involved, but from a guy who'd played professionally it was just sickeningly biased.

His silence when Quins took the lead in the second half and very nearly won the game was very gratifying.

At least holley is not long out of the professional game and therefore you get the impression that his opinions are informed.

Nigel Stammer-Smith knew more about rugby than Holley.

Important difference: Moore's arguments are well reasoned, backed by evidence and he either makes an effort at impartiality or acknowledges his bias. Jiffy just talks one-eyed twaddle all the [expletive deleted] time.

Moore actually did the referee course so he could see more than one side of the argument. However biased you feel he may be at least he has worked to keep his knowledge up to date

He's certainly prepared to speak his mind, and not afraid to be critical. But also balanced - as in his point this week that Lancaster's England are still 3 games from when SCW first won against SH oppo

Im a huge fan of the Butler and Moore commentary double team.

They're like a married old couple aruging away...BUT they are very knowledgeable.

Moore does come across at times biased just as Davies does...but at least he is highly critical when England are poor...

Andy Nicols a decent pundit...

Keith Wood is more one eyed than Jiffy to be honest, Guscott just thinks everyone is terrible

No I disagree. Guscott regularly talks up the quality of the Welsh squad rightly or wrongly.
