Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Harlequins 16 - 18 Bath
Ability wise both teams are about even, but form wise Bath will take it. Line out will go to Bath, with both teams getting the spoils at the scrum. Out wide, Bath have some great backs. But not so sure with Bowe at fullback. Quins have a strong bench, but I think Bath will have enough to sneak it.
Sale Sharks 24 - 27 Saracens
Can't wait to see this game in the league and will be a great preview. For me both packs are about even, maybe just edging to Sarries with form. Outwide to great set of halfbacks. Against others in the league Sharks would win this, but I like the pairing of Spencer and Hodgson. I reckon the backlines are reasonably similar, but the late on Sarries experience on the bench will see out a great win.
Exeter Chiefs 23 - 22 Ospreys
Leicester Tigers 20 - 22 London Irish
Front five edge to Tigers, but in the open spaces Irish back five. Pretty Sure Fasa was playing for Samoa, so mark down here. Halbacks are even, with both sets having a controlling member and someone who can inject pace. Tigers have more talent in the backline but Irish have a solid and tested backline. Two great benches, but I cant help but feel the less changed Irish will sneak this!
London Wasps 16 - 23 Worcester Warriors
Great ability in the Wasps side, but some tired legs levels up the contest. Great back row battle, and backline contest. Warrirors win the halfback contest and this will help them get on top in the backline. Genia to control this one for a great Warriors win.
Newport Gwent-Dragons 17 - 39 Northampton Saints

Messam & Jenkins are playing Int this weekend so are unavailable.
Flux can you redo, not sure if it affects your predo too much, sorry fella.
CJ, if about can you remove Jenkins & Messem for Pulls side and replace Messem with somebody from the bench (Low or Sisi I guess)
Need to keep on top of selections lads.

Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Sale 14 - 16 Sarries
Front row goes to the Saracens, with more experience and nous. Sale's props are very promising, but Sarries are proven. I see this reversing in the second half though when Sheridan and Kubs come on against tired legs. Second row goes to Sarries, with Bakkies the stand out, but back row back to Sale. Prefer the sarries halfbacks, but outside backs pretty even I'd say.
Sarries get a good early start and Hodgson pulls the strings. Sale do really well in 2nd half with lots more ball, but run out of time.

Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Quins 18-20 Bath
Front row to Bath. Big fan of both 2nd rows here. Bath bring more to the backrow. Partnership-wise I prefer the Quins hb's. More from Bath centres and in the back 3 takes this.
Sale 15-18 Sarries
Prefer Sarries front row and they take the 2nd row too. Good form with Sarries back row but Burger will bring some of his class here. Prefer Sarries 9-10 and think they may have more in the centres. Back 3 I can't split. Can see Sheridan helping Sharks coming on but McCaw and Mitchell will see Sarries over.
Exeter 22-21 Ospreys
Note: O's 9 played on Friday night.
Tigers 24-22 Irish
Front row evens. 2nd row Irish have a bit more and the same in backrow but Tigers have some form here. 9-10 evens with some form but some injuries too. Can't split centres. 2 good back 3's but think Murphy's experience will pay off as will a bit more on the bench for Tigers.
Wasps 23-20 Worcs
Experience helps Wasps in front row. 2nd row also to Wasps. 2 impressive back rows on show here but think Warriors edge it just with Morgan. 9-10 to Warriors with a little more quality. Good centre's from Wasps and a strong back 3 helps them finish more opportunities.
Newport 9-30 Saints
Saints way too strong.

Glos 21 - 12 Welsh
Front row goes to Gloucester by quite a bit, with Wood and Knight good options from the bench. Second rows must be about evens, maybe more grunt in the home side. Back row again goes to Glosc, with the form of Qera making the difference. Backs all stronger in the Glos side, so they have enough for a comfortable win.

Tigers 17 - 21 Irish
Promising front row from the Tigers, with good, young options coming off the bench. Can't see much between the second rows, like Slater as a player and Shaw is still in evergreen form, but won't last the full game. Back row edges to Irish, with Pocock the standout. Halfbacks are interesting pairs, with Dickson and Brock both pretty reliable and Simpson and Cipriani the flair Mavericks that might be unpredictable. Like the Irish pair of centres, two good footballers. Delon and Quade great bench options for Irish. Irish edge this one with a bit more experience and form throughout the team. Homer kicks the goals from the penalties Pocock wins.

Wasps 17 - 15 Worcs
On this occasion, Wasps will have some advantage up front, as the Worcs unit are relatively unknown. Big fan of both second rows here, but Mostert is down twice for Worcs. Nice balance to the Wasps back row and can see Salvi and Dus having huge joy against the opposite flankers, especially on the deck. Half backs to Worcs, as Geraghty hasn't had much form since his return. Not much in the centres, with a good 12 battle. Not convinced by Huaghton as a 15, but think as a home team, Wasps have enough in front and back rows.

Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Quins 22 Bath 23
Bath take front row and 2nd rows are close. Bath take backrow. Halfbacks are even, with centres going to Bath. Back 3 is just Bath's but not convinced by Bowe at fullback, while he can play there its not somewhere i think suits his strengths and i question whether his kicking game is good enough. But Bath have too much.
Exeter 25 Ospreys 20
Exeter too strong, with iHumph in good form can only see a home win.
Gloucester 24 Welsh 13
Gloucester stronger in the pack especially front row and backrow. This means good ball for backs and not too much pressure on the inexperienced Burns. In future i think it would be useful for him to have a play who can take some responsibility off of him at 12 or 15, but due to the win up front i don't see it as too much of an issue and i can see Glaw's backs finishing off a few moves.
Tigers 29 Irish 25
Close game here. Irish have issue of form in some areas e.g. 7, 12 and 15. So there levels not rated as high as normal. I think the packs are pretyt even with the backs just going to Tigers. Not alot in it at all though, but home advantage and their bench sees Tigers home.
Wasps 27 Worcester 22
Wasps win front 5 battle for me and this settles the tone. Although Wuss are playing two 7's i think Salvi will cope with them. Geraghty will enjoy the front foot ball and will be able to work some magic. I can see Ford struggling going backwards as its something he has very seldom dealt with. Sio Wasps get the win.
Dragons 15 Saints 37
Saints have too much throughout and will run aaway with this one.

Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Quins 16-20 Bath
Don’t see an awful lot between the sides at the set piece but Bath are stronger around the park. Back row edges to Bath as well. Don’t see either side dominating the breakdown but Bath with a lot more ball carrying wise. Decent halfback battle. Little bit more quality for Bath in midfield and on the wings. Bath have that little bit more through the sides and take a good win.
Sale Sharks 20-25 Saracens
Don’t see much difference at the lineout but Sarries can really get at the scrum in this one. Burger the outstanding back rower but carrying no form at the moment. Nothing between the two units. Don’t see an awful lot between the back lines in this one. Sheridan will strengthen the Sale scrum but McCaw will up the tempo for Sarries. Sarries scrum dominance gives them the platform for the win.
Note: Mitchell was on the Aussies bench at the weekend wasn’t he?
Exeter Chiefs 16-13 Ospreys
Not an awful lot between the sides but home advantage and a little more form at 10 see Chiefs through.
Gloucester Rugby 29-26 London Welsh
More at scrum time for Gloucester but Borthwick will take control of the lineout for Welsh. Just a little more in the backrow for Glaws with Qera in great form. Halfbacks edge to Welsh at the moment with Henson holding some decent form. Not much between the midfields but Glaws with the stronger back 3. Both benches are strong but Welsh are marked down with no apparent flyhalf cover. Home advantage the key decider in this one.
Leicester Tigers 14-17 London Irish
Not an awful lot between the front 5s at the set piece but the Irish engine room will give a bit more around the park. Bit more for Irish in the back row. Halfbacks to Irish with a bit more. Good form for Tigers though currently. Midfield just edges to Tigers with a better balance. More in the back three for Irish though. Irish have just enough more in the backrow and halfbacks to take a win at Welford Road.
London Wasps 23-17 Worcester Warriors
Pretty much a 1st choice pack for Wasps will give them the edge in this one. Halfbacks to Worcester and they will give better game control. Wasps stronger in the backline man for man at the moment. Worcester with the stronger bench to bring in but feel they will have to much to do in the last 15 minutes.

Re: LV= Anglo Welsh Cup Round 2
Exeter Chiefs 21 Ospreys 15
Sale 23 Saracens 23
Tricky encounter between two very good sides , Saracens take the front 5 with Botha key in second row. Back row swings sharks way with Burger and Powell stand outs. Backs just shade to Sale with gooson class above , outside backs can't split.
Gloucester 28 London Welsh 21
Glaws smash Welsh at the scrum and this knocks right through the team, Swinson and AJ provide muscle in pack going backwards. Half backs 1 a piece but Hensons kicking game doesn't have much reward with Glaws getting on top in the pack. Centres to Glaws as well , not seen enough of Casson. Back three May and Balshaw the standouts.
Leicester 12 London Irish 15
A powerful pack sees Irish take a valuble 4 points from Welford road. Half backs Brock James is in super form and tearing the T14 up. If Tigers had more of a crash ball centre they could ask questions of Bowden and King a bit more but it's limited at the moment. Back three is a draw but a strong Exciles bench sees them home.
London Wasps 20 Worcester Warriors 20
Sitting on the fence here , plenty of graft in the both sides front 5s with Robson and Wentzel capable of banking there own ball. Dus and Morgan keep the back rows equal with Big Ben on fire. 9/10 to the Warriors centres one a piece with Wuss back 3 having better balance than Wasps.

Newport 10 Northampton Saints 23
