London Christmas drinks
First topic message reminder :
As we approach the festive season, it's time to mark our calendars with the 4th 606v2 London drinks - Thursday 13th December at the Market Tavern in Shepherds' Market, a stone's throw from Green Park tube. As always, all will be welcome, the more, the merrier - there will be banter, lively discussion over the merits of pie, and the odd jape or three. Look forward to seeing the usual posters and hopefully meeting some new ones too

Re: London Christmas drinks
Would love to join you chaps and chapesses but unfortunately I have to do some work here in the frozen wastes of Glasgow.
Hey ASBO - I once bought a now ex-Mrs Schizoid designate a parrot for Christmas (a Norwegian Blue I think ). She was not impressed and the relationship faltered somewhat thereafter. Still at least it was imaginative and I gave the parrot away eventually.

Schiz - you really remind me of that Kevin Bridges line:
"Yes, Glaswegians are mental. But we're a Friendly Mental.
You'll get the sh!te kicked out of you. But you'll always get directions to the hospital."

Thankfully this clashes with our work Christmas party so I can get out of the blydi thing
Spending an evening watching people trying to grub their way up the ladder by
cosying up to the senior managers is not my thing.

I would normally agree with you, but in my current company there are only 8 of us so there isn't that far to climb by brown-nosing!

Re: London Christmas drinks
Sadly I'm going to have to pass this year
Thought I'd be able to get some time off after exam week last week but it's not going to be possible. Still doing admin and have a meeting with the Examination Board tomorrow so there's no way I can get there
Have a great evening all, and a couple of for me.

Or it makes it easier for you to go straight for the top rung? Unless you're at the top and slumming it?

I feel strangely let down by the fact that you guys weren't heart broken due to the fact that I wasn't there.
