Steelers Signings

The Steelers have signed QB Brian Hoyer and WR Plaxico Burress to address two needs, a healthy QB and depth at WR.

I don't think this adds to anything they already have. They face back to back road games in Cleveland and Baltimore, who will both be licking their lips at ending the Steelers division title hopes but thanks to a sub par AFC this year they'll still sneak into the playoffs behind my tip for the 5th seed, the Colts.

Well they need Hoyer just to have a second QB and he is theoretical well trained if not game practiced.

Burress is probably a bit of the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. It's not going to do much for them but as you said they need the bodies in those areas.

Hoyer is alright, he can throw the ball better than Leftwich can. Just getting used to there system in such a short space of time, that's the problem

Depth is depth.

Hoyer isn't good but I guess he'd be alright depth given injuries.
