Week 2 discussion thread
Week 2 kicks off with the oldest rivalry in pro-football as the buoyant Bears visiting the 'panicking' Packers at Lambeau Field in what surely is the game of the weekend?
Chicago look like an attacking force to be reckoned with the running power of Forte and Bush plus the passing game of Cutler, Marshall and Jeffery. The Packers struggled against the 49ers defence last weekend but will face a different proposition tonight. Bears' QB Cutler has already said 'good luck' to the Packers DBs emphasizing the Bears confindence ath the start of the season.
It wouldn't surprise me to see the 2011 Super Bowl winning to find themselves 0-2 after two home games this season.

Re: Week 2 discussion thread
I can see the Packers coming out and scoring a couple of TDs, they will not be happy about losing to the niners last weekend, and the Bears secondary isn't exactly dominant.
Key matchup might be Julius Peppers against Newhouse, if Peppers doesn't get to Rodgers he might be able to pick them off. Looking forward to watching Cutler and Marshall go to work though

Nice play by the Packers on the 4th down/ FG attempt for the 1st TD.

And why I'm not taking the Bears that seriously. Cutler while a good QB, doesn't really crack the top 10 and the OL is poor

I don't know whether I feel sorry for cutler or not
So many sacks and keeps getting rushed, but then I don't really rate him either
Just finishing last nights game, these stand in refs are frustrating

Good win for Packers, and glad that the petulant little Cutler was hushed. I really can't stand the guy. Matthews seems to have his mojo back after last season, and I think Perry's inclusion is giving him a lot more space and time to work with. Good defensive game plan from McCarthy.
Williams and Woodson continue to shine- defence as a whole looked a lot better than the 49ers game.
I'm concerned by Rodgers though. He doesn't seem to have that 'spark' he did last season. Anyone else got the same feeling?

He had time last night, he just held it too long. The Bears OL wasn't great, but they weren't awful yesterday

There's quite a few players that haven't set the fantasy football world alight just yet this season.adams_legend wrote:Me to, i took Rogers first pick in the fantasy and he is not scoring me points
I was disappointed with the Bears offence last night, although there wasn't much in the game until the 1st TD. I did say last weekend somewhere that I thought the Giants, Packers and Saints seemed to be suffering hangovers from last season. Randall Cobb also seems to be breaking out quietly.

Sounds like a better Packers performance, will have to catch up on it on Sunday!! Hopefully that means the niners match has been put to bed, onwards and upwards

About to watch the game on gamepass now. It doesn't look like he is putting up the stats, but i'm still not concerned in the slightest!

Re: Week 2 discussion thread
Well, the Bears came crashing back to earth. So much for their new era of offence. Tice did a terrible job of calling the game IMO. They needed to adjust their game plan to try and not let Clay Matthews have a track meet to the QB but they failed to adjust. Spreading out was not the solution. GB is a scheming defense and the 49ers handled them, but the Bears didn't.
Loved GB's execution of the fake field goal, particularly since it did not result in any of my fantasy foes earning any points.
Forte's leaving with a high ankle sprain had me screaming "Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!" as he is my Number 1 RB on my fantasy team. I already lost my Number 3 RB (Jonathan Stewart) to a gimpy ankle DURING my league's draft (talk about rotten luck).
Anyway, we'll see how the Bears bounce back. Green Bay has faced two good defenses and is 1-1 so they can take the life preservers off for now, the ship isn't sinking.
Hoping for a miracle as my Cards play the Patsies. I expect to watch Kevin Kolb running for his life most of the game.

Sunday's are so much better now football is back!
My Pats play the Cards today, should be a good game, they are a solid team. I think a lot for them depends on how Kolb plays, because I think Fitzgerald and even Floyd could cause us problems.
However I hope we will win to go 2-0 at the start of the season. I reeckon Ridley could have a big game again

As should my fantasy opponent.. I think its me who has cursed him. Last year I had Rivers on a lot of teams and he threw the most picks he ever has, looks like Eli is on pace for the same thing lol

The OL isn't giving Brady the time in the pocket that he needs. And to be fair Arizona's defence are playing like beasts at the minute

In fact, based on limited experience, the Packers (low yards), Saints (loosing), Patriots (low yards) and Lions (INTs) have been much more sloppy this year.
Top 4 from last year.

Can someone explain to me why Baltimore are throwing it on 3rd and 1? They have one of the best if not the best RB in the league, hand the ball off and let him do the rest!!!!

We haven't run it much but when we have it's been stuffed by Miami. He's had butterfingers with receptions too.
I'm glad Cam is lighting up, might have a hope in my fantasy match!
