Re: best england t20 side
I wouldn't have both Wright and Patel in the same side. If I had to go with one I would be leaning towards Patel, Wrights had his chances in Englands line up and has failed consistently.
My updated line up:
1) Alex Hales
2) Craig Kieswetter (WK)
3) James Hildreth
4) KP
5) Eoin Morgan
6) Ben Stokes
7) Samit Patel
8) Tim Bresnan
9) Stuart Broad
10) Graeme Swann
11) Jade Dernbach

Re: best england t20 side
One thing England need is a finisher though, which I don't believe they have at the moment unless Patel can do that role.

James Taylor>James Hildreth
Look at their records.
Taylor's first class record is superior to that of Hildreth.
And his List A and T20 records are WAY SUPERIOR to that of Hildreth.
This is Hildreth

And this is Taylor

Just compare the two.

I know its a moot point but I think Swann is a slightly better limited overs batsman than Broad.

Broads captain, there's no chance he'll put Swann ahead of himself :P
Re: best england t20 side
For the India game(s), I'd like to go with:
01 Kieswetter
02 Hales
03 Pietersen
04 Morgan (vc)
05 Stokes
06 Patel
07 Buttler
08 Bresnan
09 Swann
10 Broad (c)
11 Dernbach
Hales is in excellent form, deserves a go. Stokes provides big hitting and a sixth bowling option, is ginger and from Durham, therefore a perfect replacement for Collingwood.
Either Buttler or Wright could play at 7. Wright's domestic T20 form this season is excellent but he opens for Sussex whilst Buttler plays the late hitting role for Somerset. Buttler's position is flexible.
With Buttler coming in as low as 7 in the above team, another option would be to replace Patel with Rashid.
For the West Indies games, we'll probably rest some guys. So maybe:
01 Kieswetter
02 Hales
03 Taylor
04 Morgan (vc)
05 Stokes
06 Patel
07 Buttler
08 Woakes
09 Broad (c)
10 Dernbach
11 Briggs
If England keep Lumb, then I'd like to see Hales in at 3 in the West Indies side with Taylor missing out (T20 is his weakest form, though I saw him make an excellent 49 on Friday night).
Would be nice to rest Morgan too, but would like some experience in the batting, so as vice-captain he could play. Another alternative would be Collingwood.
I chose Briggs as the replacement for Swann, though ideally we would play a OB and SLA rather than two SLAs, but equally we should play the best two spinners and England seem to trust Patel over Rashid atm.

As I will keep saying on here, Buttler hasnt been aywhere near consistent enough this year to even consider selection

Re: best england t20 side
Which is why I said that Wright is also an option. Buttler's hit a few good scores this season but he hasn't been as good as last year.
The thing about Buttler is that he plays as a specialist finisher. In the SL T20 game, we had Bopara and Wright coming in late - they both open at domestic level. And he'd be batting at 6 or 7, so it's not like he'd be played as a top order batsman.

Re: best england t20 side
CF just take a look at his England record, it's shocking. Fact is as i've said he's had opportunities and not delivered and if England aren't using him as a 5/6th bowler then I don't see why he should be in the team.
Re: best england t20 side
yh but cos he gets , moved up and down the order all the time, he needs a settled place and to actually bowl, he a very good limited overs bowler.
