Ulster v Leinster Friday 21st December
First topic message reminder :
Back to Rabo Pro 12 action this weekend at Ravenhill when we host our nearest and dearest neighbours, the Boys in Blue.
Ulster's unbeaten run has ended but they are still in prime position in both league and Cup competitions...for now. Leinster have had a more mixed bag in both competitions so far but have by far the better record in this head to head battle.
Both teams have fresh injuries from their HEC matches at the weekend as well as longer term absences of significant personel.
Who is coming up to Belfast for the game? What kind of teams will the coaches put out? Who will be available?
The match has been sold out for quite a while so if you don't have your mitts on a ticket you'd better be near a telly come 7pm.
The Teams

Ulster are a different beast this year. They pounce on any mistake. Its where we had to get before we won anything.
That was a TRY. I think.

That is absolutely ridiculous that Bent wasn't penalised for that.

Who threw that interception? Hopefully Kidney is watching this game and realises there are two players better than Rog who can sit on the bench for the Six Nations.

Bent is shoite.
Me old nan can scrummage better than him, and she's been dead for 15 years!!! (She was however an Ulsterwoman)

Don't think Bent is the problem at scrum time, Afoa is the one causing you all sorts of difficulty, combined with Clancy not knowing his ar*e from his elbow.
I was more talking about Bent wandering offside and being told to go back, Saracens do it the whole time and they get away with slowing the attack down with out being penalised for them which is a load of sh*t.

Re: Ulster v Leinster Friday 21st December
Ulster are on fire now. I love the way they attempt to play the game. Just like my Ulster namesake. With freedom. Respek.
But, ye need to be reeled in. Yer gettin way ahead of yerselves.
Maybe not tonight though. Ulster are rocking here.

How much of a difference do you think Ross would have made to the scrum?

Hopefully the Northhampton match last week will have gotten rid of any complacency.
Hagan has regressed horribly since his move. The Irish scrum could be in trouble on the tighthead side this Six Nations.

The loosehead side has been the real problem tonight, not sure how much of a difference Ross could have made.

Afoa is a beast alright but court has had a brilliant season so far too.
Cronin has had a decent game too

Clancy is clueless but hard for Ulster to complain considering some of his decisions/non decisions against Leinster.

That's how you play a penalty advantage in that area, none of that drop goal nonsense, I wish more teams went for the kick for a try when on penalty advantage.

Knew Mcfadden would score. But. Ulster show they are ready for the next level. How they handle that... we shall see. But they are ready now. They were nowhere near it last year.

Re: Ulster v Leinster Friday 21st December
Idiotic play by Leinster. I still can't believe Leinster allowed O'Connor go to Ulster, they are extremely weak in the second row and that they let an excellent prospect go to Ulster is, frankly, mindblowing.
