What is your favourite Christmas movie?

So just to get in the festive spirit of things, what is your favourite ever christmas movie?

I'll begin with mine. 'The Nightmare Before Christmas.'

Tim Burton's masterpiece. I think I was 5 years old when my parents bought me the VHS. I absolutely loved it and to this day I still think it is a good movie. Some credit should also go to Danny Elfman on writing and performing some of the songs.

Can't go wrong with A Muppet Christmas Carol.

Home Alone.

Oh I love Raymond Briggs animations - watched Father Christmas this morning. Very witty and amusing.

I'm with the OP on this, Nightmare before Christmas is a fantastic film and my two boys love it.

Home Alone is a good choice. Loved that film too and I was the split of Kevin back in the early 90's.

Not a big fan of either Die Hard or Home Alone but would like to see a combined version where John McClane is the burglar and he smashes up all Kevin's booby traps before gunning the little runt down in front of the Xmas tree.

It's A Wonderful Life

It's A Wonderful Life is a good film but a bit too god-bothery for my liking.

Home Alone 2 is my favourite, Tim Curry at his very best.

Also, I quite like Bad Santa

Home Alone is probably my favourite, 1 and 2. I have to say I like Polar Express a lot.

I've never looked at Die Hard as a Christmas film. If I had it would probably be my favourite!

Miracle on 34th Street. Kitsch to make you puke but essentially a Scrooge story redone well. Also, great shots of NYC in the late '40s.
