Biggest Step Up in the Last 3 Years by ANY Active Boxer
For me, Arthur Abrahams gets respect. The man was undefeated and killing everyone at middleweight. He had sold out crowds in Germany, fame, and respect. But he put it on the line anyway and went for the Super Six. Respect Arthur.
Also, Pac Man, for fighting everyone. Despite my PED worries i respect him so much, the man is a legend.
Double also, Carl Froch. He is my number one.
Whose yours?

Gotta respect Del Boy to an extent. Limited skills but has taken on Fury, a heavyweight title contender in Helinius, a Klitschko and followed by David Haye.
Only ever really looked out of his depth against Haye, but still put up a valiant effort.

the likes of jennings v cotto, pavlik v lockett and rhodes/hatton v saul were the biggest step ups in terms of ability, but they were purely in for a big pay day knowing they had no chance of winning

Bute.
Didn't work out too well for him but he stepped up from stiffs to world class and got pancaked for his troubles.

Robert Guerrero for me.
He was the man at super featherweight. Went up to lightweight won a couple of interim straps. Jumped up to welterweight. Bashed an undefeated welterweight. Then battered a former welterweight champion.

Ricky Burns. Has gone from a light fisted also ran to someone mentioned as a contender for Broner. Whether he could beat Broner or not is irrelevant. the fact that he's there from where he was 3 years ago is massive.

Very true, Burns has done well. Huge Broner fight after a unification win and he can retire wealthy and happy.
