Next Season
Just floating around some ideas for next season and would like your opinions:
1. EQ for AP Games:
Stick at 4 EQ starters & 8/10 in squad
5 EQ starters & 10 in squad
6 EQ starters & 10 in squad
Advances and reasoning?
2. EQ for Europe
Stick at what we have or any advances? The HC seems pretty competitive as it is I think.
3. Squad limits
Happy with current? Thoughts?
4. Scoring system
This seems closer than last year at 1/2 pt for a win, thoughts?
5. Predictions
Thoughts, they going ok?
6. Keeping teams competitive
The league seems pretty competitive although there's a few gaps opening. Ideas for keeping teams competitive for the future/long term?
7. Any other thoughts

Re: Next Season
EQ
Would like to keep EQs as they are. Increasing them only pumps up the value of EQ players even higher and makes dealing even more difficult than it is now. Conversely, it seems you get picked out in predictions if you play EQs who aren't up to the top level. That basically means that only really about 20 EQ players are good enough to start week in week out. I don't think people rate proper EQ club players higher enough to compete in this league.
Squads
Seems fine, but there's little opportunity to add to squads from outside the game anyways. Might change if injuries come up. Might be good to have a regular injury schedule like we did in the old 606 game.
Predictions
Seems a lot closer these days and teams are moving up and down the league well.
Dealing
Dealing has really died off and I think that's because people are so keen to keep hold of EQs.

I thought we needed 5 starters and 5 on bench, eq. Shows how often I read the rules! Will give some feedback later but I think it's going ok. Wouldn't mind another draft either before 6n or in the summer?

Cash
Cash seems to have become a bit pointless. Is there something else we can spend it on? It doesn't help with deals either anymore.

I'm thinming of ideas to make cash more worthwhile, probably looking at 2 Ints this window.
Cash generally becomes more important closer to windows

Re: Next Season
If injuries become more prominent could we use cash to protect players or to heal players maybe?

Re: Next Season
Yeah but as soon as you get rid of cash then it ruins it for people that predict consistently.

I liked that on the old game. Meant you could tactically save and effectively get a player back if you couldn't afford a foreign

2. EQ for Europe
Stick at what we have. Euro is pretty tasty as it is.
3. Squad limits
Seem fair at the minute.
4. Scoring system
Keep the same
5. Predictions
PM Predictions is the way forward for me.
6. Keeping teams competitive
I'd say all teams are pretty competitive , How often does a bottom of table side have the best 8,9,10 combo in a league?

Re: Next Season
1. I'm a fan of 5/10 as it means smaller teams have more of a chance as superstar squads can't all play together, also an advantage at times likes 6N for smaller teams.
2. Yer agree the Euro is fine.
3. Squad limits: In a way I think having them would make the league tougher as things like injuries are far more likely to be harmful if you have 40 rather than 60 for example.
4. Scoring system is perfect for me
5. Predictions seem fine to me
6. Give every team a player from Leicester

Re: Next Season
The only suggestion I would make is maybe allow lower teams to have maybe more foriegns. Not a fan of any more drafts. Top six one or two and lower down three or four.

Good to hear CF, you've done well with Wasps fella. A few tweaks and you'll be shooting up the table.

Re: Next Season
Maybe we could make the LV cup EQ only? Or at least starting XV? Would give us all a chance to give younger players game time and increase their ratings?

How do you see their ratings increasing from this?

Re: Next Season
Because they'd be playing more in this game, therefore getting more experience. So less of a drop in quality if 'chucked' into a first team game

Re: Next Season
At the moment, if someone put Nowell or Cowan Dickie or Devoto into a Aviva game, i'd mark them down, but if they'd played games in other comps, it would be less of a shock. It's realistically what they do in real life

Re: Next Season
I think the majority of people judge on real life form tbh so can't see that really working.
If you want to start youngster crack on, theres no rule against it. I've put out a pretty young side this week to rest my top players.
I don't really want to put in a rule where clubs have to put out XV EQ

Get them in, as I said there's nothing stopping you putting a young side out.

Only an idea, you wanted suggestions!
At the moment, there's no incentive to play the youngsters, we all do it to rest the best players and/or where the result of that match isn't important

Re: Next Season
No ideas are good.
I see the point but don't really want to force things down that route yet.
There'll never be an incentive to play youngsters unless it's cash from the game etc. People won't rate a player higher if he's played a few LV games especially if they've never seen him turn out in real life.

Absolutely fine mate, I agree with you largely. Propose an idea, then discuss seems a logical route to take! Good of you to have this page to see if everyone is happy, as we seem to be losing managers a fair bit (and the other game!)

Re: Next Season
If we're looking at the more eq in lv cup couldn't we say that at least 3/4 academy players have to be in the matchday 23?

I like the LV the way it is , its down to managers disscreassion if he wants to rest.
I'v gone for the strongest side i could field as it's a must win game for me this week.

I'll have a think about a minimum for next season starting/squad.
I just don't want to make putting team sheets in too much of a drama
