32 teams in 32 days : Arizona Cardinals
Record: 5-11
Offensive Rank: 32nd (Passing: 28th, Rushing: 32nd)
Defensive Rank: 12th (Passing: 5th, Rushing: 28th)
What went right?
The first 4 games, Kevin Kolb being healthy. Defense was stellar, led by the play of Daryl Washington, Calais Campbell and Patrick Peterson.
What went wrong?
OL play was beyond garbage. Kolb being hurt meant Skelton and Lindley had to play. Ryan Williams and Beanie Wells both missed significant time. Defense was worn down by seasons end due to the offense averaging 2 plays per drive.
Prospects for 2013?
Even though they play in a tough division, surprisingly rosy. If Bowles can continue the work done on defense, and Arians and co can salvage an OL, the Cards will be a tough team to play. Its not often a team can hire the reigning NFL coach of the year.
Projected 2013 draft pick?
Could be Geno Smith, but I suspect Arians and Moore will look at Kolb and see a guy who can play if they keep him upright. Therefore this pick really has to be OL and Eric Fisher nudges ahead of Warmack for me.

I like the Cards mainly cos of Larry Fitz!
I hope they sort out that OL for his sake

They have some solid blocks to build on... just some major deficiencies too... we must remember they were 5-0 this season!

Hard to believe now. QB obviously is the main focal point this off-season. I'm hoping they go with Fischer in the first round.

I agree that the Cards could give another chance to Kolb, but they need to be smart and seek a decent back up this time in case he goes down again. It can be through the draft or a wily veteran or whatever, but they can't allow time to the two headed monster of Lindley/Skelton...

Yeah, I read that on PFT this morning.
If Arians knows and trusts him then it's a definite improvement on the situation now. Will be interesting to see where they go if Geno Smith is still on the board though.

From what I have read over the past couple of days, they seem happy to roll with Kevin Kolb. From the draft Mike Glennon and Matt Barkley seem to be the most common names put up in mock drafts.

Kolb could always play, he lost his job in similar circumstances to Alex Smith, got concussed and Vick lit it up. Had the Cards on a roll last year before he was hurt.
Keep him upright hes better than half the starters in the NFL
