32 teams in 32 days: Minnesota Vikings
Record: 10-6
Offensive Rank: 20th (Passing: 31st, Rushing: 2nd)
Defensive Rank: 16th (Passing: 24th, Rushing: 11th)
What went right?
Adrian Peterson had a decent year. OL anchored well in the run game. Harrison Smith anchored a physical secondary, and a defense that played tougher than stats indicated.
What went wrong?
The Vikings had a limited pass game with Harvin, let alone without him. Ponder was very limited. Defense played tough but needed more difference makers.
Prospects for 2013?
The Vikings are primed for a step back if they don't get more out of Ponder, in a tough NFC North. Keeping hold of Harvin would be a start, but a split seems likely at this point. Repeating a playoff berth would seem a tough ask.
Projected 2013 Draft Pick?
Vikings could use a DT with the Williams wall getting closer to the slope of the hill every year. But assuming Harvin bolts, the Vikes need playmakers to get the best out of Ponder, so Tavon Austin fills the void there.

The Vikings definitely need to add some passing options, especially if Harvin leaves. They can't rely on Peterson to have another year like this one just gone.
They picked up some decent players last year like Matt Kalil and Harrison Smith. Just need to keep adding youth and strengthening their roster.
They are a team on an upward curve but like the rest of the NFC it'll be pretty tough to reach the playoffs again.

Their position in the draft this year makes a huge difference too.
