You must be feeling better already. The weather is good for it too I hope.

Been a lovely day here. I went for a run tonight for the first time in yonks, needed a stress release. I fear there will be pain tomorrow!

I think the 3 of us are very similar. Need to start walking first then build up to running. I used to be able to run like a gazelle - now I'm more like an old mule!

Run might be a slight exaggeration. I did alternate 2 minutes walking then 2 minutes jogging for 30 minutes. That's it! Not a proper run by any stretch of the imagination. And there's discomfort rather than pain this morning.

That's what I'll have to do.
A brisk walk... then a short burst of running and then back to walking again. The last time I tried to go for a proper run I had this sensation which felt like wearing concrete shoes... severe lactic acid? I felt so embarrassed and I sort of limped home. I had this severe muscle pain in the thighs for about 2-3 days.

It's frightening just how quickly you lose the ability to run any great distance. I've gone back to the training I used before when I first started. It's a series of weekly podcasts that you download from the NHS site and load onto an MP3 player. Talks you through each session as you're doing it. Brilliant idea, I found it really helpful, and still do

I banged my knee on the big sliding doors on Sunday. You should have heard the sound it made... lucky it didn't shatter (the glass and my knee).

However, I waited about half an hour before putting some deepheat and packing it in ice. Swelling has gone down but that's 2 crook legs I've got now. I'm gonna have to break the pain barriers. Something to look forawrd to.

It's too late to change our tips. Oh well... it's all for fun.

i think i really need to start thinking about my tips more instead of just rushing through them

I join a few new pools AFL and some other ones i know nothing about but hey in for a penny in for a pound

The AFL will be hard. Teams either get thrashed by 60+, a few points in it... or anywhere in between. The pre-season comp is also a poor indicator of form which makes it even more harder to predict the score.
Sorry about not joining the F1 - there's just too much on my plate at the moment. Also had to knock back the IPL and SA rugby one.

No problem , i know nothing about F1 really . Im going to use that tried and tested method in these new comps .............................................guessing

Just pick Vettel in every race and you should be fine. Just ignore our bloke... whatever his name is....

There will soon be more places between us. I've had a hopeless 1st round. Only got Parramatta and the Storm correct. The Tigers are getting hammered by Newcastle as I type. 40-6 after 55 mins. Parra are now 2nd on points difference as it stands. So 2/8 for me.

I'll be near the bottom of a very large pool. How embarrassing!

I need to do my predictions for this weekend but I really have no idea! Going to be pot luck again!
