Paddy Wallace will miss the rest of the season

Another Ulster Player to add to the injury list. Luckly Marshall is ready to step in.
This Injury crisis is showing no signs of getting better yet, just worse.

Re: Paddy Wallace will miss the rest of the season
Does anyone have an estimate of when each player is due back?
The following are a few estimates from what I've read on various forums / articles - not sure how reliable it is though.........
Paddy McAllister - out for the season?
Adam Macklin - out for season?
Johann Muller - targeting Edinburgh game as per poster on another forum
Stephen Ferris - ????????
Chris Henry - 4 weeks
Sean Doyle - out for the season?
Roger Wilson - ?????
Nick Williams- 8 weeks from mid January - Due back Edinburgh possibly?
Tommy Bowe - ?????
Chris Farrell - out for the season
Jared Payne - ?????
Adam D’Arcy - ?????
Peter Nelson - ?????
Paddy Wallace- Out for the season / foreseeable
I'm hoping Payne and Wilson will be back soon and a moral boosting early return for Tommy possibly for the Saracens game

It's tough lads. Welcome to our start of the season I guess although I think yours may be worse again
Luke is ready for this though.

Chris Farrell and must of picked up awful injuries. They have missed pretty much the whole season. Such a shame.

D'Arcy and Nelson are the rest of the season too.
McAllister, Macklin and Farrell are all knee injuries if I remember correctly.
Those who are targeting Sarries: Payne, Bowe, Ferris, Muller, Wilson, Williams

For Sarries I think we need Payne, Muller and one of Wilson or Williams.
The others we have decent replacements, but it would be a boost if any of the others came back, but to stand a decent chance we need Payne, Muller and one of Wilson or Williams.

Fortunately Olding looks the business at 12. Think we may be forced to go with Marshall-Pienaar this week and hope Henderson is released too.
Black Brady Afoa
Stevenson Tuohy
Henderson Diack Birch
Marshall Pienaar
Olding Cave
Trimble Andrew Allen

Thank God there is a three week break after the Treviso match. Unfortunately there are two internationals in that time-frame but hopefully we'll get those guys back unharmed. Hopefully

Re: Paddy Wallace will miss the rest of the season
I don't want to scare anyone but Toulouse had 5 forwards injured against Treviso this season, they had to play a centre in the back row!!
Seriously this is terrible luck, similar if not worse to Glasgow earlier this year.

Imagine this was 5/6 years ago. They'd be pulling players out of the AIL and offering them an Ulster shirt!

I'd be tempted to bench Ruan... Start Paddy and let him kick, with Marshall at 9 and Olding at 12.

Stevenson, Tuohy
Hendy, Diack, Birch

Olding, Cave

Re: Paddy Wallace will miss the rest of the season
This could be it for Paddy, really. It's a hard injury to come back from and he'll be 34 by the time he recovers. Sad end if so.
Whether he'll ever be able to recapture his best now is up for debate.
