Ha, thought so
Tiger played well at the weekend, although that approach shot at the last could have rolled back, if he had hit it a foot shorter.

I didn't see the final 9!
It is normally the case when tiger looks certain to win tbh.. I don't like dominance in sport it is pretty boring times.
I have just realized I may have been coming across like a tiger lover on these goats
I am certainly not one of them at all. Just been trying to balance out SR's negativity on golf and woods..

Been there loads, work for a Danish company, speak the language, go there quite often with work and might end up living there, don't support the team though.
Cold, miserable and expensive. And that 's just the women, the country's not much better. Nice pastries though, credit where its due.
It's only cold in winter, but then so is here, it certainly isn't miserable. Walk down any street in Oslo, Copenhagen or Malmo and compare the glum faces you see in London, Glasgow etc and it isn't all that expensive either, Britain is hardly cheap, perhaps a bit more to visit, but not to live if you are employed there. Norway/Denmark/Sweden are continually voted as the best places to live.
I was referring to Denmark super. They generally have colder longer winters, the landscape is predominantly flat and uninspiring. Copenhagen is a nice city, but capital cities are rarely reflective of a country. The people are nice, which is just as well, as I have half the country visiting me on shopping trips. Don't get me wrong, I agree that the uk is miserable too, just if I was to up root, I'd head for sunnier climes.

Miserable is a state of mind not a geographic location. If us lot were in the sun all year round we wouldn't appreciate it anymore!

I could take the crappy British winters if it meant we had good summers but we haven't for years. That's what's good about N/Den/Sw, cold winters but nice summers and lovely women in summer dresses, not fat pikeys in muffin topped tracksuits.

Mysti, miserable is not a geographic location? Never been to manchester?
Super, whilst I share your view on the uk's porky pikey's, the Danes definitely have their equivalent...Usually camped outside a fakto, with a crate of tuborg and their own ash mountain. And yet i still married her!

I went to Wolverhampton once. This place was on a par with Slough. There are some nice Thames river villages near Slough, mind.

The only time I've been to Slough was when I stayed in some hotel with my parents and I was allowed to watch Mike Tyson thrash Frank Bruno. If I ever go again, it'll be 100 years too soon! Dreary place.
Worst place I've ever been to is Weston-super-mare. Horrible. Rumoured to be Tiger Woods' favourite retreat too

Me and the wife stayed in Weston for one night. It was ok, although I wouldn't go there for a weeks holiday.

Oliver tries too hard, and is just a mockney idiot whose tongue is too big for his already gargantuan mouth. Sure his food is good, but very annoying.
There are some good TV chefs, but it seems there is a pre-requisite to have really annoying traits. Cooking is preposterously easy and anyone can do it so not sure why we need such overkill in the number of programmes.
Could watch that Lorraine Pascale all day though in her crisp white blouse.....ahhhh
Olivers Italian restaurants in Edinburgh in Aberdeen are getting absolutely panned up here. Not well thought of at all.

I love jamies Italians..
I go to the bluewater and brighton ones.
They are only budget chain restaurants SR- so dont expect a michelen star restuarant.
But at the same time I cannot think of a better 'chain' restaurant- the quality of Jamies are 10 times that of prezzo, ask, pizza express, zizzs!

The problem with jamies italians is that people go there expecting a posh celebrity restaurant. They are very toned down with just honest italian cooking

Oliver has suffered from his Channel 4 contract I reckon. Has to have a new series every 6 months/weeks/minutes - massive over exposure.
Liked his early Beeb stuff despite the seemingly put on act and "pukka" rubbish.
Good, simple, unpretentious food. Very good cook, not a first choice chef.

Very true Roller, can't really think of anyone on C4 who isn't a complete moron.
Chefs are like comedians, once they get their own series they are already over-exposed and obsolete.

There is a really nice one in Cambridge. It is in a grade II listed building with open kitchens and a massive high domed ceiling. It used to be an old library I think and the atmosphere is great now. I can't stand quiet restaurants when people on the next table are listening in. And being one of those horribly annoying families with lots of kids, it is great because no one can hear us!

Yeah, I think he has a place in one of the surrounding villages. As does Ian Hislop and Stephen Fry. It's a place for people with big brains.
I don't live there.

Phil from Location, Kirsty is OK but a tad annoying and fat. Phials just seems like a nice bloke who knows properly and enjoys what he does a lot without taking himself remotely seriously.
Sara Beeny is OK as well. Ditto Grand Designs bloke though he does like to show off his many languages, mind you so would I if I spoke any.
PS I like property programs.

Funny you should mention Kevin McLeaod Diggers, met him in a French SKi Resort once when he was following up one of his "punters".
He joined us for a pint and was telling us how ghastly the couple were and how hated they were by the locals.

A lot of the people on grand designs are pretentious choobs Super, talking about visions and journeys etc. Best ones Ive seen were an old couple in their 80's who built a Hoff House basically because they could and an old coupld in France where the guy who was untrained restored a huge house. Both just seemed genuinely nice couples as opposed to your arty look at me types.
Worst one was a couple on the Thames who built a modern house everyone else hated and she just said they had no taste basically. The fact they of course had to look at it a lot more than she actually did never really seemed to occur to her.

Quite like some of the house programs . What annoys me though is when you see someone about 24 years old and they have a budget of 750k, Where on earth do they get that from?
Far too much focus on Ecomaniacs though. THere was on last night building a house out of concrete. One of the most damaging material around, yet he thought it was green.

A Huf Haus Grand Designs? I think I did actually see it but can't remember exactly how they got a whole programme out of that.
Budget £120k expected timescale 2 days.
Germans arrived on time on day one, had no problems whatsoever and left at 4.30pm on day 2 with the house completed and on budget, to the penny...
