I'm hoping Trump will triumph in this final. He's been the most exciting player at this years tournament and deserves it.

Brilliant blue from Trump too get his century.Higgins is still looking poor.

Higgins will dig in, all depends on how Trump handles the pressure as he gets closer to that winning line. But how many times how we seen John come back to win after being in a position like this?

If Judd keeps at it like he is at the moment, he should be able to hold off John Higgins

Problem is Johns still playing his C game.Trump did well under-pressure against Ding and I expect the same here.

Judd is clearly the better potter and Higgins is the better safety shooter, but which is best. Only one way to find out...

Higgins safety percent is only around 70 today and Judds is also around 70.70 percent is low for Higgins so he needs to improve that by at least 10 percent.

i think judd has enough bottle not to wilt here but Higgins grit and experience is showing.

The end of the session came at a good time for Judd Trump. It gives him time to recover his thoughts and go out this evening looking to win and get back in the match.

Congratulations to John Higgins on a fantastic tournament. Experience, skill and profound mental resolve. What an amazing player he is, and what a performance after such a personally traumatic year.

Also excellent to see such brilliant raw talent in the form of Judd Trump, breaking onto the world scene.

Am I the only one who think Trump is just a glorified pool player? Food potter but choked at the vital time.. Couldn't build sufficient enough breaks to keep Higgins away from the table & chalk up frames when he needed it most

Congratulations to John magic display especially after all he's been through.... He's done 100 times more for Snooker than Trump but the crowd decide to cheer for him? Coz he's got a dodgy barnet & takes on any pot

I think Judd is adding new life to snooker its just what it needs right now he not only takes on any pot alot of the time he actually pots them.I'll take nothing away from John though brilliant performance at the most crucial time.Expect a big year from Judd though.

Judd just couldn't get the luck and when it played out Higgins kept his cool. For me Judd was the best player of the tournament and even Higgins acknowledged that Trump was the better player in the final. What was glaringly obvious was that Trump lacked the ability to be patient on the big shots. Still he's 21 years old and took a 3 time champion very close in his first final.

He was by far the most exciting player and made the tournament interesting.

You can never write off someone like Higgins though. I would have been happier if Judd won - he deserved it.

This was Judds first final and he was up against a 3 times world champion in Higgins.Higgins is so hard to beat some players fold when they go behind but Higgins is so tough. He just keeps going. If Judd was a bit more experienced he would probably have won. This loss will be good for his career in the long term.

Gotta agree with Ray on this one. Can't look past the 7 times world champion.
