Your one-stop destination for all super_realist Tiger Woods admiration.

Take it away soup...

super_realist wrote:May I just say how delighted I am to see Woods back at #1.
super_realist wrote:Wouldn't it be great to see Woods and McIlroy tee it up at the Honda, Couldn't bet against my hero to make it 3/3 starts/win.
super_realist wrote:It's a real shame the great one and pube head arent going head to head in Houston. Would have been great to see darth vadar against young skywalker proving who is still the master.
It humbles me to think we've shared the same tees, fairways and greens at toc, sadly never at the same time. Maybe one day.
super_realist wrote:One of the reasons I was away Fri/Sat was due to my fitting for a whole new Nike bag. Fantastic gear, and not at all the Gola of Golf as I thought. Of course it's mostly the supreme talent of Woods which makes him successful, but they are a marriage made in heaven. Best golfer with the best clubs. Can't believe I've used inferior gear for so long. I've wasted years of my life being disparaging of both the clubs and the man. How I repent.
super_realist wrote:One full week at number 1 for the top man ever to play the game. I'm betting on a full calendar year for him there, no one is class enough to get near him. Odds are too short to make it worth a bet for Augusta, so I'm going to bet on lowest round, largest winning margin
super_realist wrote:I may be reading too much into this but it might just be possible that Woods is the messiah. Since losing the bet and having to say positive things about him ive had a sizeable pay rise I wasnt expecting, better bonus than expected and an all expenses paid trip to the states organised.
Now I will really believe if he can get a lovely woman to fall into my arms with these final two mandatory praises. (He might not be a miracle worker though.)
Praise Woods!
super_realist wrote:Right, here we are, end of the road, or a new beginning perhaps?

What a strange week it's been. It may have appeared that I wasn't being serious, being a bit flippant in my comments, and I may well have been but something strange has happened. It may be my current good mood, the green shoots of spring or something else but I (at present at least) feel no real yearning to denegrate Woods for anything other than my favourite name for him.

Have I changed? Have I somehow underdone some sort of self-indoctrination?
Whatever it is, the week has certainly has had an effect.

I guess we'll have to see my reaction when Woods wins at Augusta next week. I can't see anyone else winning, and for the first time in my life, I don't know how I'll feel about it. Even if it's only indifference, then losing the bet has obviously had an effect.

If nothing else, it's been interesting for me, if not for you guys.

Right. As self appointed v2bet commisioner I decree super's week of tiger praising will commence in 2h 54m 40s
he will refrain from posting any material which could be construed as being negative...and deemed unsporting..and will make at least 1 post per day, filled with a deluge of admiration, matching the intensity of his dislike with intense joy and admiration of a man who has given him a new outlook on life itself - if only for a few days.
Fair? OK

I agree, but it won't be a deluge of admiration, in fact it might only be begrudging compliments acknowledged in a peevish and niggardly fashion.

I'm surprised we haven't seen the return of Keizo.

I hold my hands up, I recall reading a post Novemberish (think it was from Inco) stating Woods would be back at No 1 soon. I scoffed at the very thought.

I did say at the time that 9c would probably win 3-4 tournaments but wouldn't overtake McIlroy. Woods has done more or less what I expected, what I never saw coming was McIlroy's current stumble. Having said that there is something a bit more ominous about the last 2 wins, cant put my finger on exactly what, he does seem a different beast when he putts with confidence though and that has been missing up until Doral.

Its a lie- you are not happy about him being no.1.

and that is about you - not him.

All you had to say was.

Well done to Woods for getting back to no.1. He showed a lot of determination under scrutiny! or something like that. Something that is fact that you can appreciate

thats it

Now come on!! Uphold your bet

it would be interesting to get to the root of such intense dislike. Did it develop over time or was it intact from the beginning? Are there childhood issues etc.

Not sure how many of you have seen American Beauty and will understand what I mean, but the ranting on here sometimes reminds me of Chris Cooper's character (the neighbour with military background).

Probably no hidden meaning to the insults here though. Probably.
