WCW IMPACT Empty WCW IMPACT

Post by VDT Mon 01 Apr 2013, 12:15 pm

In a surprising move, TNA Wrestling have today signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment that will see the company take control of the World Championship Wrestling name.

The deal, signed today by TNA President Dixie Carter, will see TNA Wrestling rebranded as World Championship Wrestling, and assume control of all associated copyrights and trademarks. The company’s flagship television broadcast, currently airing as ‘Impact Wrestling’, will be rebranded as ‘WCW Impact’.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us” said Carter. “Since it’s inception, we have worked hard to establish the TNA brand but the WCW name and legacy is already a household name and we feel this is just what we need to take our brand of wrestling to the next level"

older guys taking the spotlight.......aces and eights being a new n.w.o. the smaller guys and the knockouts being forgotton about and put in pointless feuds. e.g aries and roode being put together because the company cant think of anything else for them to do.

the show being all about Hogan and sting.

Older guys taking the spotlight? Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Jericho?
Aces and Eights the new NWO? The Shield are the new NExus.
The smaller guys like Evan Bourne, Sin Cara, the Miz, Rey Mysterio?
People thrown together? Tensai? Clay? Daniel Bryan? Kane?
Knockouts? I genuinely cant name any Divas at the moment.

I am not saying you are not right but WWE is the same. same crud, different channel.

The only real difference is that TNA carry the Hogan stigma. It makes them an easy target because WCW made the same kind of errors when he was the main guy.

You're spot on though Adam, both companies are as bad and as good as each other.

NICELY DONE SHOT!

They would more likely negotiate with the WWF so they could take that name, change Impact to Heat and sign loads of old, unwanted WWE talent

If they did, would the World Wildlife Fund have to change its name...to Total Nonstop Animals?
