Giroud is Jeffers-, poor mobility, fox in the box potential, looked good in a poor team (okay, they won their league, but that was well and truly a 1-off). Giroud would be okay at a club like Albion, but he's not Arsenal calibre.

Bratwurst Mannschaft 2 v 1 Deportivo la Chorizo
DLC just seem like a team in need of a shake up. They have a great base team but they aren’t varied or incisive enough for my money here. Olly is a defensive kind of guy and I think his tactics are well thought through and good for a shock win.

Pass the Deutschie 1 v 1 Under Brescia
UB appear to be playing with 10 men…It means they don’t exploit the weak defensive areas of PTD as they probably would have. I still have them pinching a draw, but a rookie mistake…

No Respek 1 v 2 Dos Cervezas por favor
Obviously Bull isn’t a fan of changing things up too much because he has largely copied and pasted Azzy’s tactics. His side start well but as time wears on they realise how much they miss the real Azzy and they crumble.
Marky went with a good system that suited his players, but I do wonder how well balanced it may be against some of the stronger teams.

-----------------------------

Bratwurst Mannschaft 1v1 Deportivo la Chorizo

both teamswere well set up and balanced, but niether had a cutting edge bfactor and played out a rather dull draw with defences comingout on top

Pass the Deutschie 0v2 Under Brescia

UB controlled the game and had a steroner midfield, PtD never got much going and there front 3 were nulified, UBs dominabce paids of with 2second half goals

No Respek 1v2 Dos Cervezas por favor

NR are well set up but dont like the midfield 3and Favor match in that area, they have the personal to pley 3-4-3 and the front 3 however not that dangerous have good support to snatch a win

---------------------------------------

bull 1-1 marky - close game too hard to seperate with both sides going thru middle

Viva 1-0 Afro/Hero - Close game like the attacking prospect of Viva's side against their back 4

Gregers 0-0 Olly - Too close to call so draw

--------------------------------

Bratwurst 2-0 Chorizo

Bratwurst delivered a tailor made game plan to stifle Chorizo. Chorizo are too predictable, and it hurts them here, changing it up would help. Good tactics from Bratwurst.

Deutschie 2-3 Under Brescia

I'm really unconvinced by Gundogan at CB against the likes of Jovetic and Cassano. Think its a pretty even game, Deutschie have a really good attacking force, but Brescia can match that while remaining balanced at the back.

No Respek 0-1 Whatever Marky calls his team

Bull isnt getting the best out of Walker as a defensive full back, his strengths are further up the field. That said he does have a tough spine to his team, its just not potent enough. Marky was a tad negative for me with this team, but he edges it in this game.

----------------------------------

Season 2, Week 8

Bratwurst Mannschaft 0-1 Deportivo la Chorizo
N/a - Tello

Pass the Deutschie 1-1 Under Brescia
Rodriguez - Robben

No Respek 0-0 Dos Cervezas por favor

-------------------------------------

Bratwurst Mannschaft 1-1 Deportivo La Chorizo

Pass The Deutschie 1-2 Under Brescia

No Respek 3-1 Dos Cervezas Por Favor

Obviously I didn't want to say anything to influence voting but that's just not fair. It's the equivilant of someone else doing his tactics.

You need to put reasons but we're lenient enough to let you off if you haven't had the time one week. More than that and you lose the bonus.

I'm surprised I was the only person to pick up that Under Brescia played Afellay.

Just had a look: Where?

Tactics & Voting

Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:

1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.

If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.

Votes must be issued with reasoning behind the scores awarded to the teams. Failure to do so will result in the deduction of your weekly bonus.

Results

Results will be calculated by dividing the total amount of goals scored (by each team) by the amount of votes received.
An additional goal will be added for every 3 more win votes your team receives than your opponent in the event of the game being a draw. If the result is already a win for the team receiving the extra goal then the additional goal will not be added.

Points Deductions

If a manager fails to submit their tactics, they will receive a 1 point deduction (as well as a default loss).
If a manager fails to vote, they will receive a 1 point deduction.
Failure to have a minimum of 2 domestic players on the pitch at all times will result in a 1 point deduction.
Failure to have a minimum of 6 domestic players in your squad will result in a provisional 1 point deduction. The offending manager will be notified and will be given until the following tactics submission to get up to the minimum number. If they fail to do so, the deduction will be applied

You can do Olly. I'd like to say I'm committed to work this afternoon but I am literally on the verge of falling asleep. I was going to have a quick sleep on the toilet but luckily my bowel movements woke me up.

Atalanta Falcons v Spanish Bank FC
3-2

What a match! Walcott and Schurrle centrally is interesting but I can't see it working every week, on the other hand Atlanta I feel have a squad that could beat anyone in the league yet somehow only just scrape past each team. Tevez is a striker that I feel would limit Reus and El Shawaddywaddy. In feedback Atlanta need a new striker and Bank need to play to their strength which is the wings! If they do this they will go up.

Moleicester City v VFL Bassender
2-1

A very tight match that Moleicester eventually win through a moment of genius from Cazorla. Bassender would be better playing to Xavi's strengths as I feel he is limited in the midfield four today as the midfield is too packed for him to get a foothold. I could see Bassender and Moleicester fighting for the lucrative promotion places.

FC Murder on Zidanes Floor v FC ElphickForJustice
1-0

A very tight game in which Elphick missed Bony, with him I would have gone with them but I struggle to see goals from them today. I don't like the 4-4-2 of Zidane but it is just enough today given the quality of their players

-----------------------------

Atalanta Falcons 3-1 Spanish Bank FC
Moleicester City 3-1 VFL Bassender
FC Murder on Zidanes Floor 4-1 FC ElphickForJustice

----------------------------------

Atalanta Falcons 3-2 Spanish Bank
(Reus, Tevez, Dembele) (Benteke, Schurrle)
Both sides very attacking but I feel the Bank defence and CM is easier to get at, so Falcons with the win based on that. Both sides strong in attack though.

Murder on Zidane's Floor 2-1 Elphick4Justice
(Balotelli, Pedro) (Aubameyang)
Two very good sides but the strength of the Murder XI is much stronger overall. The addition of Khedira was needed IMO and gives them much better balance. Elphick unfortunate to come up against a stronger side.

Mole City 3-2 Bassender
(Michu, Muniain, Arteta) (Sanchez, Yilmaz)
Mole City have the much better side over the whole XI, despite the Bassender side playing a good counter attacking game, I feel its a high scoring game for both sides, and the stronger defence of Mole City coupled with the superb attacking threat gives Mole City the narrow win.

--------------------------------------------------

Atalanta Falcons 2 v 1 Spanish Bank FC
Scorers: Reus, Dembele; Benteke
Feedback: Good game this one, and an interesting one. I feel Atalanta will have too much for Bank, especially in midfield. I like the idea of quick counter attacks from Bank, and it works in part, however Walcott is wasteful. Atalanta have a lot of success down the flanks, with there FB's causing issues for Bank.

Moleicester City 1 v 1 VFL Bassender
Scorers: Muniain; Yilmaz
Feedback: Very interesting game this one. I like the gameplan from Bassender, as they have clogged up the middle, restricting a lot of City's play. City have some success out wide, with Muniain causing problems, but I do feel Bassender get a well deserved point from the game.

FC Murder on Zidanes Floor 2 v 1 FC ElphickForJustice
Scorers: Balotelli x2; Wiji
Feedback: I like the gusto shown by Zidane in the 4-4-2 formation, and I feel he has the perfect midfield two to pull it off successfully. Elphick will have possession, but I'm not sure they really ever take advantage, and Zidane are a threat on the attack, and I think they win

I don't know that it was cheating, just dishonest.

I personally marked him down for it. As I did for the fact that UB had started a player that left them some time ago...

I'm not complaining about the result, a draw seemed fair however Bull clearly didn't write those tactics himself and should be disciplined. Maybe Viva can give him a spanking.

Shall I just do them myself?

So, can someone else do the votes for the cup this week?

I'll have all tactics posted by Saturday, but then will be away before voting closes and back Friday. So someone needs to take over the votes and post the results, or you'll all have to wait until next Friday night for results!

I can take the results, Marky.
I still need to draw you two injuries, so I'll do that now and update the Cup Injuries thread post-haste.

All the roads are closed off and there are a billion police about around where I work. All because the corpse of an old lady is being driven about 2 miles.

Sodhat, can you take mine and GSC's tactics (and post them) as well? Usually Afro does, then i'm not influencing the Spanish Group.

Other tactics to me, then votes to Sodhat.

Yep, send them on to me.

I've sorted the injury situation and gone with the first set, because, well, they were first.

Your injuries made me realise I only have two strikers, and you temporarily injured one of them! Think i'd better start saving for another striker!

I signed Tevez the other day and someone still told me in feedback that I needed a striker Laugh
I thought I'd solved the problem, but I was clearly wrong.

By the way, the following may add their £2.5m bonuses:

Marky
sodhat
ZZZ
Gregers
Hero
cherriesfna
Olly
GSC
Nando
Trebs

The rest of you can bugger off.
