The Special Juan wrote:I never used to like Fouldsy but he and Clive won me over at the World Open, as did ITV4's coverage. It was basic but the commentators knew what they were talking about and there was none of this "Sky" style stuff with stupid camera shots and unlimited hype. I wonder who'll be in the box in 10 years time. Hendry and Ken will be there hopefully, plus Steve and John. I think the sMurph will definitely be a TV personality, hopefully with Robertson and MJW (I'd love it if MJW was in the commentary box with Hendry).
I agree, that was probably the best coverage of the year. I think the BBC have fallen out with Clive for whatever reason. Having Neal on this weekend was very good and I felt like he managed to reign Virgo in a bit, not sure if that was just a temporary thing though.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
I noticed they had Fouldsy in for a single match (was it Trump v Fu?) and he did well. I wonder if it's contracted that he gets one match a year. Clive fell out with the BBC over "the way he was treated". I don't know what happened but he says he'll ever forgive them.

What did he do TSJ? Can't bear to watch him steal everyone's glory after a long gruelling season.
Please Dr Giggles slice him up.

His final clearance was wonderful. Still, I don't want him waltzing in and taking the title after everyone's had a long slog all season.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
Considering the Milkman had basically thrown the towel in at 9-3 down he's done brilliantly to get this to 12-11.
Maybe Lurch has let him off the hook too many times. Didn't he have a simple chance to make it 10-3 and another to make it 10-4?

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
I think he did, but he's in now to wrap it up (hopefully). Milkins has done superbly this week and is on the right track to crack the Top 16 (not that it means anything anymore). Still, I'd like to see him there some time. We need a few more quick players like him.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
Neal, Terry, Hendry, and even Ken are good.
Davis and Parott good as pundits.
Less of Virgo and Willie "I missed an easy blue yet lecture everyone on shot selection" Thorne.
And of course, Dom Dale (Honourable mention to Darren Morgan.)

I'd agree with that Dave. I like Virgo, Willie and Dennis and have nothing against them but I think their time has come.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
I've just remembered why I like the sMurph. It was either at the UK Championship or the Masters where he refused to be dragged away by the security guard to talk to the press when signing autographs. Juddley v sMurphy at 10am. Wow!!

10am starts are ace. Although I can't wait for the quarters to be over and one table to be taken away, that's when stuff gets serious!

Jeez if anyone deserves to lose this frame it's the sMurph. He's missed 2 that even I could have potted and a pink that these pros would expect to pot 99/100.

6-2 Murphy and 5-3 Hawkins. Hands up who saw that coming
I really hope it stays that way too. Although when I opened up iPlayer on BBC it froze on an image of Murphy bending over the table

You have my sympathies Azzy At least it wasn't Stephen Lee.....
Two unexpected results. I thought sMurphy would win it 5-3 but not 6-2 (and he'll be annoyed even at that as it could well have been 8-0). I think Murphy will win that now and Ding should stage a comeback.

Lurch takes the first frame. Ronald's in again and it's frightening how good he is in the balls. The slightly worrying thing is most of players with a safety game good enough to stop him are already out.

2-0 to Ronald. Dr Giggles' diagnosis is lack of confidence and the cure is a century.

Giggles is well and truly F**ked already. These guys weren't even also rans when Hendry, Williams and Higgins were keeping him in check. Now they're meant to be his main threat?
Do me a lemon.
Pleeeaaassee Juddly you're our only chance. Save our snooker.

I can't take any more. Don't you start kissing his chuff Hendry for Christ sakes.
Start acting like a proper opponent Giggles not some stuffed dummy there for an exhibition. Get angry, swear at him, call him a Kumquat anything but the meek and dismal defeat that you seem to have accepted as your lot.

Hahaha,
Oh minions be in despair.
For Ronnie is back and he will rain destruction on you all. Hehe.
I reckon Ronnie could win this with his left hand.
He's just so damn good. He'll only lose if he goes walkabout mentally.

I do feel for you oh child Hibbz.
It must be pure torture being anti-Ronnie.
The other guys have been sweating it out all year, spending hours on the practice table.
He waltzes in after a year off and cleans up
It's just too funny.

Jeez you've changed your tune TSJ. Couple of days ago you were assuring me Farter was going to beat him and if not definitely Giggles.
Now you're saying our only hope is Mr Potato Head.
And you can pipe down sperm boy, Wonnie lost plenty of matches back when there were some real opponents not just these work-a-day journeymen.

Utter torture sperm boy. These opponents aren't fit to lace Hendry's boots. Come on Stephen get back in practice, return and send him back to his dressing room in resignation.
The dreadful sucking noises coming from Parrott are puke inducing.
