Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
Ronnie only loses if he can't be asked.
I reckon this is Ronnie's best performance of the season
Has anyone ever done 13-0 before? I remember Parrott beating steady Eddy (more like boring Eddy) 10-0

It must be pure torture being anti-Ronnie.
The other guys have been sweating it out all year, spending hours on the practice table.
He waltzes in after a year off and cleans up
It's just too funny.

Utter torture sperm boy. These opponents aren't fit to lace Hendry's boots. Come on Stephen get back in practice, return and send him back to his dressing room in resignation.
The dreadful sucking noises coming from Parrott are puke inducing.
Why am I sperm boy
Let's go Ronnie. 8 is possible - just stay on the meds.

Ha ha Mark King is based at the Cueball Club. More like the Cueball head club.
I've always thought the standard of snooker was constantly improving.
Players like Dr Giggles might be proving me wrong. I'm not convinced he has actually got better, it's just the people he has to play are of a lesser standard.
Thinking of dusting off my cue and monkey suit myself, especially with Hearn's new system coming in.

Now you're saying our only hope is Mr Potato Head.
And you can pipe down sperm boy, Wonnie lost plenty of matches back when there were some real opponents not just these work-a-day journeymen.
What else can I do?? If no one's going to play well against him then it's impossible. sMurphy has no fear!!

That's the symbol of emancipation.
I feel your pain is growing.
Give them pain Ronnie.

It's funny how Parrott and Hendry are automatically referring to Ronnie as the best player in the world even though he hasn't played all year

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
Dr Giggles performing more like Benny Stulwicz right now.
Dear Quinten wouldn't stand for this shiz. At the very least balls would be flying everywhere and at the very most his cue would have become intimate with his opponent. Either one would be better than Giggles' stuffed dummy act.

Ha ha no chance. Not sure why Parrott keeps saying there's nothing Giggles can do. He's had a chance in several frames, just not had the mental fortitude to take them.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
Got to agree with Hibbz to an extent. Well though Ronnie has played (and I am more of a fan than most on here it would seem) I wish Bingham would show some fight in some way: tighten up, slow right down, smash a few balls, go for some outrageous shots, whatever. At the moment he just seems to be happy with his lot.

Yeah it's definitely been a lame, defeatist approach. He's had his chances but done nothing. Higgins would never have gone down so easily.

I haven't watched it all , but Bingham seems to keep looking over at Ronnie before playing some shots ... almost as if he is looking for approval

Bingham needs to forget those sessions and try and start again , one frame at a time .
But dont think it will happen , at times he looks like a rabbit in headlights

He's a good player but Top 8? Not as far as I'm concerned. These rankings put players in false positions, I feel, and consistency is rewarded more than ability.
Ricky's going 5-2 up.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
All these short format tournaments just aren't helping. I appreciate that too many long format tournaments are boring, especially for the TV, but even if they bumped up the PTC's to best of 11's then that would be much better. I agree with you Kenny, Barry's done a lot of good for the game but something needs a change.
Ricky is up 6-2.

It's true that his ranking is probably higher than it should be due to strong performances in the Asian PTCs (which were weaker than the others). I can't really see anything in him which separates him from players below him but in top16

I'm a big fan of Ricky. He appears to be one of the best gents on tour and is such an underrated player. I'm delighted for him having this run (and was behind him at the UKC last year).

sMurphy takes the first frame on the back of a magnificent long pot. If anyone's going to beat Ronald, it's the sMurph.

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
At my snooker club our rankings werent right either. Two wins and youd go up 10 places, two losses and youd be down 10. It didnt reflect ability 9/10 of the time.

90 from the sMurph, 93 for the Juddernaut and Bazza's 6-3 up now. What an interesting start.

I'm surprised he never really pushed on and started to dominate. He's obviously got a fantastic cue action and an all-round game so I don't really know why he's still only won 4 ranking events

Re: 2013 World Snooker Championship
I think he changed his game plan after he won the world title as he mentioned recently he's returned to the attacking gameplan he utilised when he first exploded onto the scene and won the World Championship. I don't think his safety game matches up to the very best (18-9 v Higgins in the 2009 World Championship final is a bit of a hiding) but it's good enough against most and, as you've mentioned, it's a surprise he's not done more. He's only 30 so there's still a good few years left for him.
