Neither player's doing themselves justice. Bazza takes the opener though, just about.

Looking back at that opening round schedule in the OP, I cannot believe this is one of the semi finals

It is surprising. To be fair to Hawkins he has earned it by beating two top 8 players to get here. Walden has capitalised on the giant killing exploits of others, but fair play to him he still has to win the matches.

how can he be only 6 - 4 down with a high break of 36 ?

I think the BBC need to start looking through the archives for something to show after the final because no matter who wins between Ronnie and Judd they are going to whitewash either of these two !

Sounds like garbage again today. I feel a bit sorry for them as they are both a lot better than this.

They must be more nervous than if they had to play one of the top players, as they will both realise this could be their best and only chance to make the final.

Whoever wins will play better in the final when there's absolutely no pressure on them.

I play like Alex Higgins; drunk and with a poor technique

So the leaning tower of Lurch takes the last and stays ahead at 9-7. The other, poorer quality match is on later tonight. I'll watch it before and after The Mentalist.
