v2 Journal
Evening guys, don't post in this forum very often however always have a look for the latest posts from some of the knowledgeable guys who visit this section.
I'm looking to make cricket a key section on the V2 Journal in the next few months, Jack did a top job however has been lured away to new pastures it doesn't have to be anything special but if any of you guys want to write some articles for it that'd be fantastic.
Some of you may know about the podcasts we launched last year for wrestling, boxing and rugby. They've all been a success and have recently gone on to iTunes. I'm hoping to get a podcast running for this section, again if you want to get involved let me and I'll give you more details.

I may be able to fill in on occasion Hampo - Once I'm back from NZ I want to get the rugby podcast restarted as my 1st priority, but after that ...

There is a hidden section where you can submit articles, which you would be given access to.

I'd be interested in writing a bit, but not exactly sure what you want. Opinion pieces, analysis, general?

Anything that people would be interested in reading.
Something on associate cricket would probably be great if that is what you have in mind

Sorry Mike been at training. Can be anything you want. If you think people will want to read it go for it.

Rules out most things I'd want to write about then. ;-)
The trouble is the things I am passionate and know most about probably have a bit of a niche interest:
- wider cricketing world, including some stuff about associate/affiliate cricket;
- coaching: I could write some sort of coaching series (basics of batting/bowling/fielding, gameplans, fielding in the modern game, how the role of the coach has evolved, fitness, science in cricket, talent ID etc.)
Does it have to be a structured series, or is it just a set of articles with a priori no necessary link between them?
Anyway I'm keen to give it a shot.

Articles about associate cricket would be interesting to guys on here and the wider range of readers we can reach on social network sites.

Can't speak for anyone else Mike, but I'd really enjoy something on coaching techniques and fielding in the modern game and how they have both evolved over the years.

Re: v2 Journal
Mike, I'd love to read about both of those.
A series of coaching articles would be excellent, and something very different. Likewise, associate nation pieces would be very insightful no doubt.
Go for it.

Mike i'd be really interested in the second one, the coaching series (basics of batting/bowling/fielding, gameplans, fielding in the modern game, how the role of the coach has evolved, fitness, science in cricket, talent ID etc.)
Being at the end of my degree i'm starting to look wider about how to extend knowledge of coaching and different things before I start my masters hopefully this september.
