Lyn Jones, Director of the Season?
I've nothing against Lyn Jones or London Welsh, and I can accept that Jones did a good job to field a fairly competitive team. However I really can't see how a Director of the Season award can go to the guy who sees his team relegated? Can't be right surely? He is one of 4 nominations with Cockerill, McCall and Young.

I have no issue with him being nominated, as explained on the other thread. Do not believe he should win though.

Don't blame him or welsh people though, blame the system that chose him!

Rewarding failure is one thing. Rewarding the avoidance of failure is entirely different.

On the other thread no one has blamed Jones or 'welsh people' (not sure why you mentioned that).
My own post was along the lines of a run of 11 consecutive defeats and relegation should not have seen him on the list. The same with Young, who could not maintain a promising mid season run. And I'm a Wasps fan and an admirer of what Young has done this season.
Maybe the threads could be merged?

'twas just a bit of banter, hence the '!', because you know how these things go on here. Relax, enjoy life.

Seconded. He had very few players rating him when he was at the O's
