Arsenal somehow in the champions league. Not deserved.
Can see Bale leaving now for sure.

How many Arsenal fans would swap their season for Wigans?

Very good last day to the season. Shame we didn't get a last minute wonder strike from Newcastle, that would of been epic.

I'll say it.
I'd rather be 4th than win the FA/League Cup.

I'd forfeit a CL spot here and there for some silverware myself.
Obviously the money men would disagree.

I'd rather be CL honestly. A cup win is nice, but the big clubs play in the CL.

Minnow Arsenal will play in the CL next year, while Giants Wigan and Birmingham play in the Championship, and the massive Pompy play in League 2.

Comparing Arsenal to Wigan/Birmingham/Pompy is a bit rich. Different stratospheres

Yeah, Arsenal have regressed from the title winning side, they've cut their cloth more to pay for a new stadium while City and Chelsea have invested heavily and United have kept on ticking. I'm not going to deny that.
But I'd rather be in the top 4 annually than 1 cup win followed by lower league oblivion.

If there's one thing we've learnt today it's that a thread does indeed stretch longer than 21 pages.

Arsenal won 8 of their last 10, drawing with Everton and Man United. Don't think you can say they don't deserve it.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread Part 6
Now its time for Arsenal to invest, need to pull away from the pack and bridge the gap to the top 3 while they all swap managers.
Jovetic is a story that keeps cropping up. Finding someone to play CB with Koscielny (Vermaelen is pants) and keeping Gibbs/Wilshere fit also on the agenda

I am aware. That would be the reason why City are more favored in Europe while I imagine United are more backed for the PL.

Ancelotti to quit PSG to join Real apparently.
Madrid got the cream of the crop of managers on the move if its true.

Yeah, you never really got the sense Newcastle were a threat once Arsenal took the lead.

This. Sunderland were throwing bodys on the line, but Newcastle were just treating it like a kick about down the park.
