Firstly I declare a level of neutrality as I believe neither/none of the warring factions are correct in their intransigent views.

But the final whistle in Dublin on May 18th seals the deal on the HEC and other European club competition beyond 2014.

That weekend is the essential window to thrash out some sort of compromise as the 2015 fixture and more importantly competition arrangements have to be made for the future.

Only that weekend will all the key stakeholders will be present before they disperse to their diverse summer diaries.

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,

A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

Each man's death diminishes me

A winter's day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock,
I am an island.
I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
I drink alone, yeah
With nobody else
You know when I drink alone
I prefer to be by myself
