606v2 ATP Picking Game: French Open
First topic message reminder :
1 game remaining
How to play:
- Every player has 32 picks. All picks must be used in mens main draw singles matches. The points besides each fixture represent the points you score if that
player wins. If your pick is wrong you LOSE 10 points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the tournament is the winner. To play post your picks on this thread, try to number them. A valid pick must be in the format Player A def/over Player B (Winner First). By the end of the tournament all 32 picks must be used, unused picks will be counted as losses. You are allowed to post picks each day until the match starts, so please check the order of play. All picks posted after play starts are invalid and can be replaced. A pick is void if a match does not take place due to withdrawal or a change in the draw but is valid if at least one point is played (so retirements count). Each player will also be able to place “Djoker Cards” on any FOUR of their 32 picks. If your "Djoker" pick wins you earn double winnings if he loses you will not lose any points. In case of more than one player being tied on the same score, the tiebreak will be number of right picks, if still tied then by 1st highest scoring pick, 2nd highest scoring
Ferrer (68) - (2) Nadal

Luvsports, just a quick check, how sure are you that you're numbering is correct. I have you making one more pick, I'll happily check if you are confident but exams on mon + tue so tryna waste as little time as possible.
Some terrible odds tomorrow and given I only need to make 5 picks, I think I shall leave it.

R U desperate for points here , why don't you play Djoker in it, if for some reason Nadal pulls out in the mid match you win the Picking Game big , I mean real big, 300 points on stake, I would certainly advice you to change the Djoker on Kei's match.

Holding my last ace pick for Robredo match
@LF, pls make some picks to remain in the game, we only have 16 matches left, so by default all 16 matches should be counted for you.

Thanks, but there's a very good reason not to use the Djoker there.
Reason is simple; if Nish wins, he is such a long shot I win the picking game anyway. The Djoker is just flash, and in any case is probably only going to 'earn' me the 10 points of avoiding the defeat . However,by playing it on Haas I insure a loss there and get 11 extra points for Tommy if he wins. 11 extra > 10 probably lost on Nishikori.

My Haas djoker has moved me into touching distance, though one imagines I need Robredo to lose tomorrow and I need to get 10 or so points from my last 2 picks.
Oh, and I need Stan "I don't take break points" The Man to win!

What's the point of gambling when there's no payoff? 150 or 300 makes no difference.invisiblecoolers wrote:bogbrush wrote:Yeah, a bit desperate!invisiblecoolers wrote:bogbrush wrote:

Thx CJb for the odds release, both odds look Tempting, just can't decide which one to select as I have one last left, I wanna put odds on Robredo match but if I win that I win the picking game hands down , so not going for it.
Will hold the final trump card for semi-final or Finals.

He got me the lead earlier in the tournament, so I owe him! And a single point in it, good grief. A BB Djoker charge is surely on the cards, too...

Seriously I cannot watch Fed-Tsonga match anymore, I am switching to Robredo- Ferrer match, the crowd support for Fed has been appaling, generally the French crowd support the underdog and at this point of the match Fed is the huge underdog.

Re: 606v2 ATP Picking Game: French Open
IC - I know mate. I was pretty busy recently, so while I could occasionally post inane drivel, I didnt have the time to look at the draws and tactically make picks based on my probability vs Profitability graph. But If things go well, I might just usurp LS (which, as I have repeatedly stated, is really all I want to do).
So...
17) Nadal def Wawrinka (Could I get 50 points for guessing that Stan wont win 10 games?)
18) Haas def Djokovic (Djoker)
