Jim Johnston for the hall of fame?
Jim Johnston, the man behind the music in the WWE, should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. For nearly 30 years this man has singled handedly written, composed and recorded most of the music used in the WWE, bringing in outside acts when necessary. This is impressive when you consider how diverse the Superstars entrance themes are. From hard hitting openings like Lesnars, to Iconic songs like The Undertakers, sourcing unsigned talent like Downstait, or remixing classics like Perfection for Curtis Axel, or even achieving a modicum of singles chart success with ChaChaLaLa, he rarely releases a dud.
When he does have to bring in outside acts, he prefers to use unsigned bands, in order to give them a hand with exposure. Johnston is responsible for a surge in sales with acts like Shinedown, Motorhead and Downstait though their use in WWE productions. Johnston also composes the music for alot of WWE films, including The Chaperone, Knucklehead and Legendary.
Its a shame that he has revealed in past interviews that he suffers from stage fright and a fear of live crowds, which could hinder his willingness to be at the ceremony. Personally, I think he truely deserves recognition, because the product would not be the same if the music didnt have the impact it does.
