There won't be any news yet. Greenwood would probably announce it first on sky.

Heaslip is comfortably the test 8 at the minute.

They can only really swap one. Two tightheads on the bench.

If he's captain he will play in the test team despite having a pretty average (at best) performance today.

Hook - I don't think Sam was a bad choice as tour captain at all. The players have been disciplined and there's been some good play from individual players.

Tight five have been good for the Lions with Youngs, Mako and Gray as stand outs. Parling has done a great job at the lineout but needs to show more in the loose.

Backrow have been absolutely dire. None of them should be in the test squad, missing tackles, getting slaughtered at the breakdown and no impact ball in hand. Dreadful. Croft, Tipuric, Heaslip and SOB on the bench please.

Ben Youngs excellent at 9, Farrell crap first half but improved in the second. Glad Youngs is getting to play with Sexton as that's the combo we need in the tests.

Centres didn't show much with Manu leaving early and not looking in tune with the industrious Davies.

Back three has been a mixed bag, Hogg has looked inexperienced and made some bad decisions. Cuthbert went early, North and Bowe have looked good.

The Reds are proving to be a really explosive team.

Frustrating defence.

Frisby redeemed himself there, he went off the boil a bit.

Big guns on now - POC, Jones, Hibbard, Cole.

I agree this backrow has been shocking, I'd be tempted to go with O'Brien at 6 and Tipuric at 7 though.

Nothing to do with his captaincy. As captain he will be selected for the test team despite having a pretty poor match today. He will only really get one more game before the test series and has to park his performance.

The choice to only bring 2 flyhalfs looks quite silly if we are going to have to play both of them in matches like this... We should probably call up another just to rest them!

I agree this backrow has been shocking, I'd be tempted to go with O'Brien at 6 and Tipuric at 7 though.

I'd take the extra lineout and football skills of Croft personally. SOB can be brought on for additional power later in the game to bully the tiring Aussies. SOB cost us two tries against the Force by rushing out the line and exposing Sexton's inside shoulder. Can't be making those errors against the Wallabies. Croft is immense at supporting breaks, making great cover tackles and does a decent job in the tight, he's almost literally made for these tests.

I thought O'Brien had a fantastic game (rushing out of the line aside) and he was exceptional in attack. Everywhere in that game. Croft was fairly anonymous. Didn't offer a whole lot in a game that was tailor made for him.
