Wrestlers Who Portrayed Different Nationalities In Their Gimmicks
First topic message reminder :
Ok so the first one everybody will think of is Yokozuna. He is the Samoan wreslter who played a Japanese sumo wrestler in the WWE. Also I found out the other day, Muhammed Hassan who was portrayed as an arab on TV is actually Italian. And of cousre who can forget the Canadian Rowdy Roddy Piper who wore kilts as a Scottish heel.
So my question is who else has portrayed a character from a different country to which they actuially came from?

I've always found that hilarious.
Says it all about how the US thinks what England is like.
I think it was Michael Cole who was commentating on a Regal match and said he learned to fight/survive in Blackpool docks.
Ermmmm... maybe ride a donkey down the beach instead?
Also, the Bushwhackers were billed as Australian but actually from NZ. Its close enough Vince, close enough

I always quite like how Barrett has that cape. Don't get them in Preston lad, bareknuckle fighter or not.

A friend of a friend went to school with Stu Bennet (Wade Barrett) and said that he was an Estate Agent back in Preston; Michael Cole never mentions that in his commentary...
