As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.

For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.

There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.

Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.

he's looked excellent recently, can play 10 and 12 and a good goal kicker. needs to up his game management but i think in a year or 2 will be challenging sexton for the 10 shirt.

Good signings so far. Not surprised Madigan went first.

Well le Roux was my number 1 target, and Hibbard my number 2, so now I am stumped as to who to go for.

I was torn between him and Madigan. It was the year gap and the fact there aren't many Irish 12's to prevent Madigan developing internationally in the end.

I figure that he gives me more of a footballing option at 10 or 12 than I have in my current squad, and figured that he was more likely to get snapped up before my next pick than my other target is.
