Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
Ozzy3213 wrote:
Foreign Transfers
To make a foreign transfer (i.e from any club outside of the AP, regardless of whether the player is English) a bid should be made on the Foreign Transfers Page, which will be considered by me against the posted guidelines for purchase prices before being accepted or rejected. No bid will be accepted until a minimum of 24 hours has elapsed from the time the bid was made, in order to afford other managers the opportunity to make a counter bid.
Foreign transfers will unlimited during the off season and 2 during the season. The exact dates of the two transfer windows during the season is to be confirmed.
As a general rule, if you want a world class player (and by world class I mean a player that I consider to be one of the 3 best in the world in his position at the moment), you will be looking at between £20-25 million.
For a top international with over 30 caps, £17-22 million, and an international with less than 30 caps £15-20 million. There may be some exceptions to this in the case of certain players, but this will be the general rule.
There will be an upper limit of £10 million for uncapped academy aged players unless two or more managers want the player and enter into a bidding war in which case there is no upper limit.
Bids for uncapped players who are over academy age limits will be judged on their own individual merits.
Current Bids Under Consideration

too right matt!
have no idea on these youngsters.
already have yarde and morgan from that list and reckon a lot of players on it already in the game. dont really need another pacey winger and there are a few on that list. wingers are the last thing i need really.

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
I made a long list of players to watch at the JWC and came across that list today, missed a fair few of them out! - there are 3-4 Argies who are very good and I would have bid for them but they arent going to be seen for years here!
Their fb is absolute class, the French were meant to have a very good u20 team this year, but got outplayed by Argentina - the fb set up what is probably going to be the individual try of the competition.

Sgt_Pooly - Clement Ric - £9 million - REJECTED (would need to be at least what people played for the likes of Kolisi, Barrett etc. Duvenage is probably similar in terms of age and appearances for their club)

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
I am gonna ask pete about that sorry mate. My bid has been 24 hours so I don't know what happens now. Would be pretty dissappointed if he wasn't mine providing the bid was up to scratch.

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
no mate happy for you to bid i am just unsure on the rules on this and don't want to be dragged into a bidding war until I absolutely have to be as still have other targets.
Don't know if 24 hours is the minimum or if it is the set in stone length of time.

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
Ok, to clarify, 24 hours is the minimum time before a bid can be accepted. Sometimes it will be longer simply because I've not had a chance to get on. Bidding remains open until a bid is accepted. That has always been the case since way back when chewy was running the game.
will have a look at bids after I've had my dinner.

Did not know he got injured ??? Glos have been looking at signing him as have bath

Re: Foreign Transfer Bidding Page
he got stretchered off in his first game, saying it was similar to Quade Cooper's injury - not sure how reliable the reports were, but looked nasty at the time.
How many outside centres do Gloucester need if they try and get him - they must have 4-5 good ones there.
