Swerves you never saw coming

Given the generally surprised reaction to Mark Henry's will/won't he retire storyline (apart from Bullski - has anyone asked him for lottery numbers yet?), I was wondering what other storylines or swerves have surprised you?

For me it was Kurt Angle turning on the WWF during the alliance storyline, as a kid I was totally hooked on that storyline and couldn't believe what the guy who had been leading WWF for months had done
