Agreed. Why bother with 24 now, just say 20 and leave some spare time.

Re: Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013
England have experience of 24 over cricket in this tournament, when they beat New Zealand in the groups. 169 was enough for England to win that game.
Sounds like KP is having some fun up at Leeds, 101* off 110 balls thus far. 12 fours and 2 sixes. Are you watching Australia?

Ah, it's raining now.
Let's call it off, and have a shared trophy. The forecast is lovely for tomorrow as well.

Covers on.
Given the stupid delays to start the game it's safe to say its over and the trophy is shared I'd guess.

No reserve days is a bit silly but hindsight is 20/20 I guess. 2/15 matches unable to finish isnt bad.

Is there any chance, they can make a 5/10 over game?

Let's just get everyone inside. 11 games of Fifa, 1 v 1. That should sort it.

Yeah we ain't getting a game
Not really sure why they couldn't push back the T20 games a day, so they could have a reserve day. But hey ho

Covers coming off.
Now if the bloody umpire can get a toddle on then maybe we can get a game? Any disruption after start and it is done though. But they say its clearing in the distance!

England to win their first 50-over trophy after winning a 20-over game? Interesting. Nasser optimistic about the weather.

I think the order will depend on what score they're chasing.

I think Bell/Trott showed in that NZ game they will either hit out or get out. Trott's a better T20 player than people give him credit for

The stupid rain hasn't restarted as yet, and we are a good 14 minutes away from the proposed start. , Guys at cricinfo are starting to hope. Should we also think of the same?

Not too sure trebs. India do have the batting strength, but by bowling first England can limit that to a great extent. The likes of Ravindra Jadeja with the ball are more effective when he has overs to play with. Again, the start's going to be very important. If Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan get off to a decent start, the likes of Kohli, Dhoni and Raina can then cash in. But if there are early wickets, England could control the tempo of the innings, and knowing their target, they can put in the right strategies.
