Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013
Jayawardene does bugger all but scratch around for 18 balls looking horribly out of form, then comes down the track and smacks the bowler straight over his head for a six. Class!
Ball again. Jesus umpires, get on with it

Good over from Swann, just rattled through it, minimal damage. This is going to be very, very close.

Trott off with a right thigh injury. Hopefully that's just a precaution

Sri Lanka continue tofind it difficult to get Swann away. Only 23 of his 7 overs so far. Think Cook should keep him on, and perhaps bring Anderson on for an over or 2.

Is it starting to slip from England? It will unless England get a wicket soon.

On the way out of this. Gives more time to prepare for the ashes anyway.

Bopara back on, replacing Broad.

Some good fielding keeping us in this. Need a wicket like a hole in the head. Hopefully the powerplay will bring it...

Unlike Sri Lanka, England are doing good job on the field. Morgan, Root and Broad, all saving runs that could prove to be important at the end.

Its too flat. You need dodgy decisions and people giving away wickets to stand a chance here.

Maybe the PP will bring a cluster of wickets, it does for most sides. Heads up England!

The 5th bowler, as well as Broad, are going at over 6. Not comfortable for Alastair Cook.

James Anderson, possibly England's last hope today.

Re: Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013
Cook, looking for the wicket, has Anderson on, and he very nearly obliges the captain, the edge just out of the wicketkeeper's reach. Not a chance, Sanga just being a touch lucky.

Re: Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013
Sri Lanka still need to score over 7 an over for the next 16. Sanga and Mahela are looking good, but all that England need is a wicket. They don't have the finisher Perera today, and the rest of the lineup is not as classy as the pair out there.

Re: Champions Trophy - England and Wales 2013
Cook has kept one over from Swann back, and has brought Bopara on. As Atherton suggests, might be a good move, because the batsmen might go a little easy on him in this over as the powerplay sets in from the next.

No additional risk, yet 7 of that over. Batting powerplay. Batting powerplay has often been the undoing of many a good batsman. A decisive face in the game.

I understand why Kula has been sent in, but surely you send a proper batter in to keep the scoreboard ticking over here?

SL need to go at 7.5 an over in the next 14 overs. Anyone's game at the moment.

Kulasekhar is trying to have a slog. Not really convinced this is the right move. Of course Kula might prove me wrong, but I thought someone like Chandimal should have come in and rotated the strike.

Singles not really hurting England but they do need another wicket. Getting Sangakarra out would be huge.

Superb over from Anderson, and credit to Buttler for saving 4 runs there. Could be massive in the context of the game.
