Jimmy ends up with 2 wickets for his troubles and Broad leads England with 3.

Its a funny game.

Should play it in Cornwall or Devon. Massive England home game!

Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shining
I can't avoid the lightning

Or:

When the sun shines, we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

Atherton gives it about 30 mins more delays until its game.

Can the ICC let the final be played tomorrow? Good weather for tomorrow. Probably too short-notice though.

It is a shame that its such an unsatisfactory end to a thoroughly entertaining tournament, but I do hope the ICC take the lessons on offer here, beyond reserve days. Shorter tournament, less minnows for more meaningful games and better pricing have made this far better than either of the last 2 WCs.

meh, it's all over really isn't it? no way they'll get back on within half an hour.

a rather unsatisfactory end to what was early on a pretty decent tournament, but questions should and will be asked to the ICC as to why, for what is supposed to be a major tournament, they didn't even have a reserve day planned...

Would get some fans here duty for sure.

Same really for the fans as their team were starting to get into their stride and hit England out of the park.

England might just escape it but we would all still prefer to see a game.

Especially seeming as they have done in the other incarnations of this tourney. Even in the other shared trophy one

Well at least England have got some practice in ahead of the crucial two game T20 series against New Zealand starting on Tuesday. That is a massive series.

The next weather involvement should see the game called off. Incredibly frustrating.
Its going to be a big English summer, hopes the weather behaves itself after this protracted nonsense. Will be a massive shame otherwise.

Since we are going nowhere here, lets look elsewhere for some good news.
Kevin Pietersen smashed an unbeaten 177 in 188 balls on his first class return after a 3 month injury layoff.

India 40-1 after 7. Any which way it will be a T-20, and its very unlikely we'll have a proper finish. You are joined winners already. So have some fun while you are at it lads!.

Swann still injured?

Tredders tonked there.  India should win this at a a canter with batsmen of this class in a game just perfect for them.
