Ive Never Actually Seen THAT Film!!!
A lot of times in life, you hear a phrase such as "How have you never seen that film before?!?!"
there is always someone out there who hasnt seen a world famous classic that everybody else has. So this is your chance to share yours. Which films have you never got round / been bothered to watch despite everyone else saying it is the best film ever. Which film would elicit a response like the one above. I will start with 3:
I have never seen: Top Gun, Dirty Dancing or Avatar.
Over to you...

Don't bother. Better off watching paint dry, then get wet, then dry again. Would take less time too.
Godfather films for me, although I've read the book. And actually have the films on my computer... just have to find time in my busy schedule of doing not much to find the motivation to watch them.

I'm on the wagon with wrestling at the moment, I haven't actually watched it for months.
I've come too far to watch these films now. It would feel like a cop out, a backtrack. I have to stay strong and not watch them. I have no desire to see any of the Lord of the Rings films though. Looks like a billion hours of crap to me.

Do the "couple of redeeming features" includes Kate Winslett's fun bags? I've seen them in a number of films and I'd say they're solid rather than spectacular and certainly couldn't carry a film (or a pencil for that matter).

Nothing wrong with that Stella they're just not my bag. Same goes for that Potter boy. Never seen the films or read the books. And never will either.

Yep, those are the ones.
I have seen them in other films, but never get tired of it. Bit like Helen Mirren, even though it is like spying on your nan in the shower.

Anyone who has not seen the Godfather films or at least the first two really has not lived. Am big into films so am struggling to think of many films folk consider stone cold classics i have not seen. Have even watched Citizen Kane and not just pretended to. (apparently it is the film most people lie about having seen)

My brief rant about The War Zone the other day was probably inspired by the scenes with Tilda Swinton in the buff not long after she'd given birth to twins in real life. Not pleasant.

Don't know that Citizen Kane is the film most people lie about having seen but pretty sure it's the one most people lie about having as their favourite.

Yes, but you're a sick man Galted. That much has been obvious for some time.

Never watched any of the Scream Franchise or the Harry Potter Franchise (am immensely proud of the second one and when my daughter grows up I will cite me saying "I don't care what people say I am NOT sitting and watching that guff with you, ask your mum" as the pivotal moment when she officially decides that I am the worst parent ever.

Thanks Tino, no use being sick if no-one notices.
For anyone else with an immoral/borderline-stalker interest in Winona Ryder, if you play the scene where she decides to become a vampire in Bram Stoker's Dracula in slow-motion, you can clearly see her right t1t through her night-dress (possibly nipple as well although that may have been my imagination). Thought you could see her bush too at first but she's wearing briefs.

Some of the Potter films weren't too bad, Prisoner of Azkaban was actually quite good. Would avoid Chamber of Secrets & Goblet of Fire though.

Re: Ive Never Actually Seen THAT Film!!!
Gotta say Shah that your reasoning for not watching Schindler's List seems a strange one. I've read the book (back when it was originally called Schindler's Ark) and the impact is no less intense whether it's the book or the film.
The film makes makes no apology for Schindler's willingingness to profit from the war and doesn't gloss over his adulterous nature and yes whilst the scene where he finally parts from the people on his list may be a sentimental dramatisation of actual events I think overall it's one of the finest films I've ever seen
Do yourself a favour and watch it. If you aren't moved by it then I will have you outed as an unfeeling cyborg

Re: Ive Never Actually Seen THAT Film!!!
Would also recommend you watch Schindler's List Shah. Watched some of it in the early 90s but stopped watching at the scene with the little girl in the red coat as I'd decided that it was a load of pretentious w*nk. My brother explained to me recently that it was relevant to the film & that I was being a knob who was only denying myself so I watched it & have to admit it was above average. Wouldn't put it in my top 10 but definite top 50 material.
As for anyone who hasn't seen 12 Angry Men, agree with Dass, WATCH IT!! Definite top 10 material.
