I put the word out on 606 about signing up on here but its to no avail,as yet, dont know why because its easy to navigate(must be cos ive not got lost yet) and theres some good chat.
Yes....I'd love to knowGrahame's getting on.......maybe next year we could have a forum meet up down there
Thanks for promoting us on 606, racingnut.
I'm hoping some more will come over once 606 finally closes it's doors....it's going to be difficult competing with dedicated racing forums.....but we'll do our best : )

Great idea about a forum meeting Sol.The old 606 posters organised a few but they were at Sandown and Ascot, dont think they realised that there is actually human life north of Birmingham.
Looks like ive missed all the Festival craic again(work really does get in the way at this time of year),feel like a proper "Billynomates" coming on here after everyone else has been and gone.
As for the racing, top stuff again and the one to take for next season just has to be Grand Crus,he'll do whatever Big Bucks doesnt if you know what i mean.If BB stays hurdling then GC goes novice chasing and vice versa.
Just going to scan tomorrows cards, will pop the seven to avoid up asap 8)

Hi steveo
Yes...he cut through the field very impressively.
I'm not a fan of the Triumph hurdle......inexperienced horses.....a big field.....a fast pace....but it's always a thrill to watch and no fallers which was marvellous......hope that jockey is ok.
Soldatino in the next for me.....how about you?

I really thought AP had held on to win.

can't win them all!

Aaaw bad luck steveo : (
And bad luck AP....I'm gutted for him....getting caught on the line like that.
People often debate as to who is the best, AP or Ruby.......sometimes I think it's Ruby and sometimes AP but they're both amazing jockeys......we are so lucky to have them.

well my 2nd horse would be Court in Motion so I think you have a good one there.
this is another great day though. so pleased I took time off work for this.
no one who I work with is remotely interested in racing. Anyway their loss!

Re: Cheltenham Festival 2011 - General Chat Thread
Only had a small wager today and my usual placepot perm which fell to pieces in the 2nd - am a great one for following small stables and two of these are Mickey Hammonds & Milton Harris, both have a horse in the 4-40 so have bet them both EW at good prices. Its more of a bet of hope than anything I fancy.
Sol, I replied to your answer mate, have to try again.
Whats the goods for the big one, not had a bet yet but am leaning towards Denman, was impressed by his last run carrying a big weight but I think at least 3 are in with a shout, cant see Kauto coming back to win another Gold Cup but if he did the roof would come off the grandstand!

Re: Cheltenham Festival 2011 - General Chat Thread
although from a betting point of view I would like Long Run to win I would happily lose that for Kauto Star to win the Gold Cup.
just love this horse and if he doesnt win then I just hope he comes back safe
i expect his price to collapse now to about 5/1

Hope you have some luck in the 4.40 swansea.
I'll have another think about your question.....it's a tough one!
I think this Gold Cup is very open......I'm going for Neptune because I love him and stranger things have happened and he's a quality horse.
Realistically I think Long Run will win........I'll be thrilled if Kauto could do it.
Kempes has a huge chance too.......would love AP to win it.
Come on Neptune! lol

WOW!!!
possibly the greatest race I have ever seen
I have hardly seen any national hunt racing live but I was at Kempton when Long Run won the King George and I have thought he was a certainty for this ever since
amazing from Kauto and Denman too

although I have had a big win on Long Run I am almost more pleased about the performances from Denman and Kauto Star. Interesting that Denman has now beaten Kauto 3 times in the Gold Cup I think?
well I am on the biggest roll ever today with 3 wins from 4
and I have the favourite in the next!
come on young William!
