great performance from Sizing Europe but Im so disappointed Time for Rupert and Master Minded have both been beaten today.
I am supporting Aegean Dawn in the next and I don't think it has ever been beaten.
also of the outsiders maybe Walkon or Bothy can go well

Hi steveo......nice to see you......sorry you're not having a good time......Aegean Dawn fading there too..oh dear.
I fancied Aegean Dawn for this too..........nasty fall there at the last but the horse looked ok.

well got 2nd with Bothy so I am getting there!
the next one looks difficult.
I think the favourite, Plan A has a big chance though.
Either that or Titan de Sarti or an outsider Whitby Jack

Phillip Hobbs and RJ have spoiled the party.......it would have been quite nice if the Irish could have swept the board.
Anyone know if it's been done before? The Irish winning all the races on a single day of the Festival?

I backed Sizing Europe in last years Arkle and he was impressive but i thought he was a short runner and hed just set it up for a finisher in this field, how wrong can you be! Won as he liked and it would be a brave man to say that he cant return and defend it next season.Master Minded definitely has an ailment,he just empties too quickly not to have a problem.
The one i take out of the race is Captain Cee Bee,he ran his best race of the season and its all down to the ground,he just has to have a decent surface.Watch for him at Aintree and or Punchestown particularly if the ground is right.

Sorry i cant post during the day but no access to a PC at work,so its in,watch the racing on the video then on here to ramble on about nothing.Made my mind up that im saving a few shekels every week for the next 51 weeks so i can have the Festival week off again next year. Its so annoying when work gets in the way of racing

I was really pleased for Sizing Europe........I remember when he was sent off favourite in the '08 Champion Hurdle and was virtually pulled up.......there was a scary moment when his jockey was seen walking back in with just the saddle. Me and some others on a forum I was on at the time were very worried that something awful had happened to him.....there was some concern, I think, about the horse.
Anyway......it's fantastic to see how far he has come : )

I wonder how Grahame is getting on....hope he's had a few winners.
It's nice here isn't it?...hopefully a few more racing nuts will join our forum soon lol.

Only my opinion but i think this was a very strong renewal of the Queen Mother and the first four sort of ran to their interlocking formlines.Having seen this performance i cant really see why conections wanted to try him over further earlier in the season.

If an Irish trained horse had won the last then it would have been the first time ever that they had gone through the card so to speak.Still, i bet the pubs in Cheltenham are bouncing tonight.

Re: Cheltenham Festival 2011 - General Chat Thread
Well I never had a punt today, always feel the Wednesday is particuarly difficult so will have a study tomorrow and see if I can select a winner or two.
I usually have a good punt at the placepots at the big meetings and was a bit surprised to see yesterdays dividend was a meagre £60, much more impressive today at £930.
The racing tomorrow is a bit easier than some of todays races so hopefully I'll get a few hours free in the morning to study the form.
The Irish gave the Brits a severe scalping today so its time for the British trainers to claw the winners back tomorrow.
I like the booking of the master jockey on Paul Nolans NOBLE PRINCE in the opener tomorrow, this horse was only touched off by Realt Dubh in a Grade 1 chase at Leopardstown in January and is worth a closer look.

Wow! That was a fantastic slow motion shot there, of AP patting Noble Prince as he was pulling up.
Now my hero has had a winner I can relax and enjoy the rest of the Festival : )

Yes steveo.....it's not far from Cheltenham.....no, I've never been.
I love Wales, Swansea......I think I should be made an honorary Welsh person
I fancy Kayf Aramis in this........ I picked him a couple of years ago when he won at Cheltenham, a big price I think he was that day.
Not sure he can do it again.......shame Venetia Williams lost him to NTD.
Ooh they're off
I really fancy Buena Vista in this too.

I think it is definitely between Kalahari King and Poquelin.
However I will be siding with Poquelin in this one!

Yes.....sure to be one of those two.
I bet Henrietta Knight wishes she'd saved Somersby for this.....tho' it's always easy to be wise after the event.

They dont call him the master jockey for nothing, superb horseman.
Just watched it again there and Graham Lee did leave himself an awful lot to do with Kalahari, but if any man is gonna pip me I'd rather it be McCoy - a true racing legend.

the danger is obviously Grands Crus but I also like the look of Cross Kennon although the ground may against him.
