Third Test winners?
Wallabies v British & Irish Lions: 3rd Test - pre match discussion and Poll
First topic message reminder :
Third test winners and score prediction?
20:00 AEST, 11:00 BST
Saturday, 6th July, 2013
ANZ Stadium, Sydney
Referee: Romain Poite
The weather is expected to be clear and sunny with temperatures ranging from 5-16° C at Homebush Bay.
So it will all come down to the final match with the series level at 1-a-piece.
Both sides are battered and bruised, many top players are missing... there's even a touch of controversy.
The final team announcements will be made later in the week... probably around Thursday morning AEST.

You know how some men look like old men even though they're not old men yet? Paul Wallace is one of them. Maybe it's the way he's leaning on the railing there next to Botany Bay, but I can see him leaning on a cane and reminiscing about how he'd have slapped Jim Telfer at half time in the second Test in '97 if he'd had the energy.

I had a long weekend away in Perranporth last year. Stayed in a yurt. Lovely beach.

Why is everyone up so early on a weekend day????
Is it because you never went to bed at all because of the excihrahment of irh'all (a bit of Dublinese there)
Is it because you never went to bed because you were too drunk to find your way home?
Is it because you never went to bed because you had a tiff with your lover and your wife wouldn't let you in?
Or is it because you were commanded to rise early by the SS Panzer Divions of Welsh Choral singers who have been sent to the four corners of the four Nations to assure compliance??

This game is the biggest match many of these players will have played in.
Lads like Phillips, Roberts, AW and Adam will be sore as hell at having lost in SA on the last tour. This a number of our lads last chance to win a lions tour in their carriers.
They want to be remembered as legends.

The bench is going to be key to this game, the first game the Lions were in control until the subs came on too early, the scrum fell apart and were lucky not to lose it. The second test the same happened only Hibbard added to the scrum and out wide but the others added very little. At least this time we should improve if Parling goes off and Tipuric will improve the back row both attack and defence, I just hope MV does not have to come on.
Lions to win for me, much better in the tight than last week and more attacking threat from better ball (I hope).

Have the Irish contingent been tear-gassed yet, Linebreaker? They'll need a lot of tough-love from the stewards and police to keep them at bay. "Down boy!!!! Down!!"

Right, we've scored a third time. Can we please make sure Australia don't get a scoring chance again for a few minutes please. That scrum free kick is a good start.

83% possession. We've got to get a few more points to make this dominance count.

Well I was completely wrong and totally glad to be. Well done Lions and sorry there was any doubt, and Gatland clearly know more about winning a Lions Tour than I do. Not that things have been perfect but what a way to finish

Congratulations CJ and all of the other Lions fans. You must be totally over the moon.
I've written a little post in the Dew Drop Inn - please have a quick read if you have time.
It was such a comprehensive win in the end - I didn't see it coming but tonight was what Lions Series should all be about. The Lions will live on and on and on and that's the way it should always be.
You are all a great bunch of blokes (and shielas). Enjoy your celebrations. Sydney is being painted Red as I type. Feeling crook... overdid things last night and woke up worse for wear.
I've left the back porch light on, heaters on, beers in fridge - for the lads when they return in the early hours. They've gone into the Rocks or somewhere. No doubt they will be walking on air and the noise levels in those establishments will be off the scale.
