2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread
by Dr Gregory House MD on Mon May 27, 2013 1:46 am
Now that the season has drawn to a close, I thought I'd put up a thread to discuss possible transfer business.
Rumours, Predictions, Hopes and Actualities all welcome here

Completely disagree. Zaha's potential is quite simple - learn how to cross a ball, shoot better, track back. Redmond has a lot more to offer in the long-haul. I'd be surprised if the England team in 5 years time doesn't have both in it.

Redmond will be a good PL winger, but Zaha has the potential to do that (better) and possibly play up front.
The difference in potential is encapsulated by 1 signing for Norwich for 3m and the other Man United for 15m.

Norwich are apparantly getting closer to signing FC Twente's Leroy Fer, with Newcastle having no interest

If he can stay fit, he's a class signing. Norwich are turning from a relegation battler to a Europa League calibre team!

They both have potential , Redmond will probably get a lot more game time at Norwich then Zaha will at Man U though . Not that i think that makes him better i just think Zaha would benefit from a season long loan at another PL club rather then probably warming the bench at Old Trafford .

United's wingers are who though?
Nani who's shown more glimpses of his immense 'potential' than Torres
Ashley Young, took SAF a season to find out hes actually not very good.
Valencia, who's immensely 1 dimensional.
Zaha will get his chances to play.

Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread ......Continued
I think Norwich were originally rightly placed in the relegation betting, still need to see how some of the other teams act but Nodge have done well so far. Surprised Palace arent moving on Ince or Matt Phillips, the latter was the star a couple seasons ago, funny how easily one season can enhance a player though as Ince is now the man.
Id be surprised if in 5 years time Redmond is considered a better proposition than all Walcott, Sterling, the Ox, Welbeck, Sturridge or Zaha as one of the two wide options for England.

Valencia might be on dimensional but on his day he's unplayable. I can see Nani going if Moyes has any sense. On the wing next season will be Valencia/Zaha and Bale (joking of course, I don't see Bale leaving for anyone)

Valencia is done imo, either lost a yard from his injury or has been effected mentally - either way he didn't have a single "day" last season.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bale ended up at old trafford, lots of sponsors to keep happy in England.

Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window Thread ......Continued
Damn, if only there wasn't some kind of time in the football calender where footballers were permitted to switch clubs. Some sort of window in which players could transfer if you will.
I'm sure such a system would assist those clubs in making room.

Jack Sullivan @jsullivanwhu 4m
Titus Bramble is only getting fit/ training with us HE IS NOT ON TRAIL
Ignoring his dyslexia, at least we wont be wasting 25k a week on a 4th centre back. Young Jack doesnt much care that players most likely hear about his tweets

In Forest news likely no one else aside from Olly will care about.
Lee Camp is on trial at Dundee
Lewis McGugan isn't training with the club after his contract expires yesterday
Jamie Paterson should complete his move today
