Dereck Chisora actually looking like a sportsman
First topic message reminder :
Shame he hasnt got the talent to back it up really. But Del Boy looks in the best condition he has ever been in
Not sure how much potential he has even though hes now in shape
I think he will beat Malik Scott though......PHYSICALLY

Re: Dereck Chisora actually looking like a sportsman
I would say that Fury has a better chance against Thomspon than he has against Haye. From that view point, it is a worthless fight, given the reasonable comment that Fury has not fought a big heavyweight yet. Should they meet for a title, then I am certain Fury would be pleased as it will be his best chance to secure a belt and act as a good warm up for Wlad as well.
How did we get back on the subject of Fury again? There are enough of his own threads without him polluting someone elses.

Winchester is not even around at the minute, if we can't avoid Fury when Winchester is not around what hope is there.

I would be surprised if he fought one of the Klitschkos after he beat Haye. I think somebody like Tony Thompson, Thomas Adamek or Manuel Charr would be more likely.

I think Thompson is being a little overrated on the back of his Price wins. He would be a good match for Fury but hes old and I dont think he has the power to keep Fury on the floor.
Again, I agree, but how does beating 4 6'2" boxers prepare you for fighting a K? I'm not saying he's a step up, I'm saying he's neccessary prep as I don't think Fury has fought anyone comparable to him (or a K) yet.

I dont really think there are any boxers out there that will prepare someone for a Klitschko - Wlad especially. Thompson would be a good fight to take. Its winnable and he has a name now in the UK.

I just think Thompson is being a bit overrated and Fury a bit underrated.

I think that would be sensible preparation and I wouldn't berate him for it. Fury has already said he wants a K brother afterwards, so may have backed himself into a corner without needing to.

Yeah but I dont thin theres any point taking anyhing Fury says at face value. Cain Velasquez, the UFC guy is supposedly next in line for Fury going offlast weeks quotes.

What? We can't believe what Fury says? Well that puts a hole in Winchester's cast iron argument.

Let's break this chain. Horrible person though I believe Chisora to be, good luck to him this weekend. Let's hope that he puts in a performance to be proud of and comes out it with a significant win he can build on.

Pretty much my thoughts. Hope he redeems himself properly.

Never understand this assumption that Chisora gave Vitali such a tough fight, I only gave Chisora two rounds . He would need a bit more a than a "bit" more pop, his punches had next to no effect. Sanders was by far the toughest fight for Vitali since Lewis, he had him hurt and reeling round the ring whilst Klitschko was actually at a reasonable age.

I hope so too. And of course a victory for Chisora over the unbeaten American will also enhance Fury's legacy. Everyone's a winner.

Find it amusing a thread is required to celebrate the fact a professional boxer appears to have got himself in shape. Surely that is kind of the minimum we should be expecting.

Mayweather has a similar conviction, I believe, but seems to get a pass.

Has to be said Berbick did much to incite Holmes wrath.......Telling his Wife he'd been screwing around ever so subtly and slandering her husband .........
Whilst what he did was wrong it's a stupid comparison........

So jumping off a car and drop-kicking someone is fine, but whatever Chisora has done makes him a disgrace to the sport.

In all fairness Union, at least Berbick is a bloke. Chisora has been done for knocking a woman about. Sorry but any bloke who hits a woman is a scumbag

Chisora and Fury would both make easy work of Thompson.
I too hope Chisora wins. I'd like to see either him or Fury fight Charr after their next fights. Charr looks a better version of Chisora to me so could be made interesting.

Hitting a girl is totally uncomparable to a ruckus with a bloke perfectly capable of defending himself.

That's before the spitting, slapping and Haye brawl in public is to be taken into consideration....
Quite surprised to see certain people trying to absolve him because other fighters have done lesser deeds of ill repute..

hector camacho and mike tyson are two of your favourites - not exactly angels
Re: Dereck Chisora actually looking like a sportsman
I am not trying to absolve Chisora of anything. He is a horrible person. If I saw him in a pub, I would avoid like the plague whereas I may be tempted to at least say hello to a Froch, Haye, Skelton, Harrison or a myraid of other boxers I do not know personally. But I still wish him well on Saturday. It is a fight. Not a personality contest.

The comments he made about klitschko was horrible, using Hitler, a racist genocidal dictator and trying to compare klitschko to him was just not even funny.

Steady on - we don't know the full circumstances, what if Chisora was about to go out only to find his shirts hadn't been ironed? Perhaps she burnt his dinner? Or maybe he was just plain drunk. Lets just not assume it was all Del's fault.

Okay, Haye is a Tw*t, I'll give you that. I'm certain Steffan would also make some argument for Froch being worse than Ghengis Khan. As it is, they don't leave the same distaste for me as Chisora.

No - but you dont really harbour the amount of hatred for those that you seem to for chisora - why is he more repugnant to you than a r***ist or a man who threatens his wife and child at gunpoint?
Re: Dereck Chisora actually looking like a sportsman
I don't hate Chisora..............I just don't want him to win because I think he's a vile man and is bad for the sport........Didn't much like Camacho and was happy when Tyson lost to Buster...
However I do think Camacho and Tyson are underrated by some and that Boxing needed a Tyson like fighter to reinvigorate the sport.......
Glad I could clarify that for you..
