Heh. Its a little early to be getting cocky but England couldn't have hoped for a much better start.

I'm with mysti here, looks like a slight mark on Hughes's bat as (and where) the ball passes? Hughes clearly hasn't felt the nick, hence why he reviewed straightaway, but all the evidence pointing to a slight edge for me...

I have a feeling Khawaja and Clarke could make hay for the next couple of hours. The ball will be going/have gone soft and the pitch will probably deaden for a while as it appeared to yesterday.

Also our bowlers will begin to tire. Reckon the recovery is on and the next wicket will be a while coming.

Has been another interesting day so far...good right now for England but Clarke is really the Big Wicket...they will want him out before they will be feeling too chirpy , on this beautiful pitch.

Aye we need Clarke soonish. I'd have Jimmy and Swann

I do think it needs some form of trundler in there as a homage to KPF

This is an awful display of batting. Its a caricature of the art! At least the top six took the shine off the ball. Time for the real batsman to get in
