Re the divisions it did cross my mind that people might want to shake them up a bit. The make up of them just now just reflects the way the teams were thrown together a couple of years ago. The mechanism certainly exists to switch them around a bit so if people want to do that to freshen things up then I'm happy to do it.

What do people think?

Also, I'd like to re-name the divisions. Just calling them 1, 2 and 3 is a bit boring. Can call them anything we like as long as there's no swearing (booooo!). Anyone got any suggestions?

Another thing I'd thought of was honouring my 3 favourite American Footie UK TV summarisers of all time - Mike Carlson, Gary Imlach and Rod Woodson. The last one is a bit tenuous cos he only did the BBC's Superbowl coverage a couple of times but he's my all time favourite studio expert - always loved it when he was on NFL Network. He was a fine player in his day too. Gary Imlach just reminds me of when i first started watching footie back in the late 80s/early 90s..... good times! Imlach was a God!

Any chance you could all let me know if an 8.30pm start suits you?

Ah, now you're talking twelve! That's a nice twist. Could have the 4 semi-finalists from last season in the "Good" division and then arrange the rest of us in order of our regular season records - 5 through 9 would be in the "Bad" division and then the remaining 5 go in the "Ugly" division.

NFL.com has some standard scoring 14 team mock drafts, but they're not very frequent, try Yahoo or FFCalculator.

Just looking through the responses so far to the question of whether we should change the draft time to 8.30pm next week it seemed like this was going to be OK with everyone (although, in fairness, some people haven't responded yet), so I've taken the bull by the horns and officially changed it on NFL.com.

I've just had a look and it has gone AP, Spiller, Lynch, Foster, Rice, Charles, Martin, McCoy, Brees and Morris for a top 10.

Not quite. The main reason is that the QB drop off is so much less given that you start only one of them. This is driven by RGIII, Luck, Wilson and Kaepernick being very good last year, plus guys like Romo, Ryan and Stafford scoring solidly each week.
Yes Rodgers and Brees will be top scorers at say 320pts per year, but you can get Eli Manning to score 270pts as maybe the 14th ranked QB who is the last starter in a 14 team league.

Then you look at RBs (and to a lesser extent WRs) and compare players 1-6 versus those in the 20-28 region and the drop off is literally massive in terms of points due to the number of time shares etc.

Well for one thing, the FA list is thin this year. Looking for a few surprising rookies to get rising stock in the first week or two, as there are a lot of injured vets out there that won't be available until week 6+.
