No love for Aduritz then. Top target appears to be a striker then
Feedback is a lot better than before with more specific points on where to improve. I think its also fair to say that the 4 injuries a week is really making people have to think a lot more and is really affecting the voting, which is great and what we wanted
Anyone got a top striker for sale? Willing to do part ex on any of my players

Pasqual or Antonelli were the best LBs in serie A last season. No question of that.

So what was the PSV v Southampton score? Obviously I won by default but what's the default score?

lol sorry Afro, no disrespect. Im not finding feedback that great, I went off last weeks & moved Taarabt/built around him but still got criticised. Figure Im just going to have to sell him instead as no one in the league likes him.BigFellasAfro wrote:Hey, what are you trying to sayZinedine_Ze_Zebra wrote: I lost to Ballbag You have to be kidding me Ah well.

Happy with the win, and I love the new feedback. It tells me what I'm afraid to hear - but also tells me if I've fixed my deficiencies, which I seem to have resolved from last week's feedback. Except for Holtby playing out wide
Zebs, I liked Taarabt and what you did, but it appears others will never rate him. I'd advise getting rid mate.

Spurs supposed to be lining up a deal for Eriksen and Lamela. They are going to be serious contenders if they get those two.

What bewilders me is why on earth are both Arsenal and Utd not even sniffing around either player?

Good to see that how you deal with your injuries gets noticed! Agree noble is no cb but what could I relaistically do! The plan when the CBS aren't freekin injured is to gob 5-3-1-1...
Need to cb signings this week though... So that's tomorrow!

Because they're not in the world class bracket, only in the pretty good (high Europa league) players bracket?

C'mon Trebs, they're both much better than that.
Arsenal should be interested. United I would only say shouldn't look because they need to focus on other areas first

I don't see it, sorry but I don't think players at Ajax and Roma can really prove themselves as world class players. I don't see them being the ones to do something special to win the Premier League or a Champions League QF. Sorry.
I could take a guess that they'd do well at Man United or any other big team, but they haven't done enough to justify it for me.

Spurs have a team of pretty good players. Bale carried them a lot last season down the stretch though, he and Modric are a class above
With all respect to Lamela, he's not as good as Bale

They're still pretty weak at CB for me bar Verthonghen, and FB isn't the greatest. Plus I'm far from convinced about AVB.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXSomethingsomethingsomething
Neither are world class but Trebs put them as higher Europa league standard.
Lets face it, united have one world class player in RVP while Arsenal have none, so you don't need to be world class to be good enough to improve either.
I do agree with you Olly that it will be defence that lets them down ultimately, but don't underestimate how good Lamela and Eriksen are.

MIghty just seen your message as i was about to reply i clicked on the back button and lost the message i'll resend give me 5 mins.
If Kaboul can get fit I think pairing of him and vertonghen would be very good, bring in a LB.
Eriksen and Lamela are very good players and I know united dont need eriksen as they have kagawa but for that price i would have liked to see them put in a bid more importantly why didnt arsenal. I'm getting a little worried now we havent signed anyone, whats happening with fellaini?

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXSomethingsomethingsomething
Player for player Spurs have a very strong side the squad last season was similar to uniteds but I dont see them being title contenders because they dont have the winners mentality if they bring that to their game then yeah I can see them contending. I really feel if arsenal can get in suarez or a player of that quality they would have 4th place in the bag. Arsenal are a better side then spurs but man for man i prefer the spurs side.
Re: Euro Division Homepage XXSomethingsomethingsomething
I agree with Viva. I reckon Spuds could sign a whole squad of top drawer talent and their mentality would still see them fall short. Not necessarily the players' mentality either, it's just a club thing. I hope I'm right. Spurs winning a title would be a horrible day for English football.

Same could have easily have been said about the mentality of City as a club. That for years was the mentality of the in the shadow and forever bitter of their rivals. People thought Andy Murray would forever have the big game bottler mentality, look how he answered that.

I don't really have a hatred of any teams, I'm not a very tribal football fan. Even Spurs, I don't hate them, I just laugh when they fail because they brag when they're doing well.
I can't really hate Millwall like I'm supposed to because my grandad supported them. I don't hate Paul Ince, either.

True enough. Could be argued that City were bottling it and United just pulled out a bigger bottle job though.Hero wrote:Same could have easily have been said about the mentality of City as a club. I just don't think Spurs have it in them to go a league season without slipping too many times. No one fears Spurs. I don't circle the game on my calendar and think ooh that'll be hard.
Plus on top of it all, their owner is a jerk.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXSomethingsomethingsomething
Lloris - top drawer keeper
Walker - liability defensively but okay going forward
Dawson - solid CB
Vertonghen - quality CB, versatile
Rose - okay defensively, lacking going forward
Capoue - quality DM
Paulinho - quality CM
Lamela - quality winger
Eriksen - quality AM
Chadli - very good attacking winger
Soldado - top quality forward
Subs - Kaboul, Lennon, Holtby, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Defoe, Adebayor, Sandro, BAE, Chiriches (probably comes in for Rose so Tongs can move across to LB, where he plays for Belgium)
That team and squad is as good, in fact the first team is significantly better than, United's and Arsenal's. How they gel as a team will dictate how well they do this season, but certainly next season I see them vying for the title. Provided the Lamela, Eriksen and Chiriches deals are confirmed.

Spurs are too mentally fragile to finish ahead of Arsenal.
Spurs sound great on paper but you're taking out the only world class player and replacing him with a lot of players with no PL experience.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXSomethingsomethingsomething
I don't think Spurs will win the league, but you look at that squad and you have to say that it can at least mount a challenge.
It's difficult to judge their mentality as there are a lot of new players and a lot of players who have won things in other countries. What will scupper them is their defence could be a bit frail and they need to gel.
I notice they are also being linked with Vadillo this morning.
I can also see Chiriches being first choice. He is a very, very good player. I think you lot will be impressed. He is very strong, a great tackler and is very comfortable on the ball as well. I think Spurs have stolen a march on quite a few big clubs with his signing

Until it happens I will sit here and say it won't happen. I hope it doesn't too. It would be hilarious for them to have spent all that money and got no Champions League again. And they don't have a new stadium yet either.
